“Am I Beautiful Yet?”
I’ve blinded my eyes with ornament. Replaced my limbs with ornament. Cut out my organs for ornament. Am I beautiful yet? I can dance for you. Watch me. I will never stop dancing. Never stop watching. Never. Stop. Or else.

For the the theme of ‘Freak Show’, I’ve put together this circus ballerina. Her limbs are wrapped in gold with pink accents, as well as barbs, some tinted with blood. Ballet is known for being brutal in its precision, and this type of decoration carries the metaphor visually.

Her face is obscured by a mask of similar style. Floral designs, especially that of the thorny rose, are prominently featured here almost like a religious icon. It is perhaps one of the most eye catching pieces of the style, in part representing her inability to see the world for what it is. She is blinded by her preconception of what beauty is, and is unable to appreciate the world around her.

Finally to pull it all together, the most unsettling piece is her torso body mod. Many strive for an hourglass shape, but the tragic ballerina has assumed a literal hourglass, complete with animated sands. Yet another clever visual metaphor representing the years of life she’s shaved off by taking her pursuit of the beauty ideal to unhealthy lengths and destroying parts of herself in the process.

The entire style combines fragility, obsession, suffering, and horror into a form of visual storytelling, in order to tell a very tragic story.

As stated above, the look was made for a special show hosted by Madd Modelz on the amazing “Uri Jefferson’s Freakshow” sim (SURL). We all had to write our own descriptions for our styles and presentation and I had in mind what I wanted to say but since I am not a native English speaker, it mostly doesn’t sound as I want it to be. This time I had great help from a dear friend – Tour Blanche, the partner of my sweet sister Consuela Blanche. He is a god with words and made my idea sound so amazing, that I could not just have it for the show. I wanted them to be visible for longer than the few minutes of the show and he allowed me to post them here on my blog. Thank you for that Tour β™₯

Wicca’s Originals @ Hallow Manor // October 18th – November 1st

Tired of tripping over your own feet? You need something more precise, and more functional. Enter the Eagleden Legs and accompanying boots, by Wicca’s Originals. A smart steel and brass body augment, this improves leg performance by incorporating hydraulics, spring tension, and replace brittle bone with unyielding metal. Jump higher, run faster, kick harder, these beat out their organic counterparts in every race. Comes exposed for easy diagnosis and maintenance, but can be covered up with clothing easily. The boots they come with are part western, part punk, held together with metal pins, metal studs, and buckled straps. Our hunt prize will be a special version of your Phantom Mask. This half-mask can be worn on either side of the face, and is adorned with patterns depicting an enigmatic array of symbols. Puzzle pieces, haphazard stitching, saw blades, and gears appear on the mask, giving the wearer a sense of mystery along with anonyminity. Rather than a traditional eye hole, the eye is covered by a mesh, obscuring view of it while allowing clear sight. Can be worn by men and women alike.

Destructive… Sometimes…

Today I am very happy to do my first post as an official CerberusXing blogger. I was dreaming of that for quite some time now and now it finally happened *dances around*. I love the creations and designs of CerberusXing for… I guess in forever. He has a very special way of creating his designs and his texture skills are incredible. I rarely saw a better leather than in CerberusXing’s designs. I love his sadistic, morbid take on and that he always dares to stretch the boundaries from modern dark fashion to a nearly haute macabre look sometimes. He isn’t afraid to even go for stronger morbid thoughts or sometimes for fun stuff when you do not expect it. I admire the variety of styles his creations can be used for, but with always having his very personal trademark on them – even with no label on it, you easily can recognize a CerberusXing design.

For my first post I decided to go with a mix and match of my favorite items from CerberusXing. The “Enochian Succuba” outfit including the boots and the choker, the “Mucronate Top” as well as the cool “War Fan” and the “Tritinium Clave Collar, which is a collaboration of CerberusXing and The White Crow. The collar, which right gets plunged into your skin and flesh comes with an amazing tattoo layer that supports exactly that and makes it look more realistic. The bar-code reminds me of some kind of registration of a slave on a certain website πŸ˜‰

If you look at the picture below you can see another extraordinary creation of CerberusXing – the “Ostium Impaler Ears”. I am a huge friend of unusual mesh ears and with the long stretched ear hole and the piercings these ears have exactly that what it takes. You are able to color the bottom of the earlobe like a tattoo and that heavy earing shows you why it is stretched that way πŸ˜‰

For a cool look you need the perfect makeup as well and so I wanted to use one of the newest tattoos from Nefekalum Tattoos. His tattoos are more like artwork on your skin. Sometimes you get the feeling, that he has a slightly destructive adder which he puts in some of his creations and the same I feel sometimes with CerberusXing. IΒ  am not saying that this is a bad thing! I have this adder as well and I really enjoy it, to live that part of me in SL more than in RL – that really balances me out sometimes and keeps me more healthy in RL*giggles*

The Emily dress is “horror chic”. The fabric and cut of the dress itself would be flattering, but something went very wrong, either with the wearer, or the tailor. It comes chained to a garotte wrapped about the neck, as well as wire and chain encircling the waist. To really make the skin crawl, both arms and the spine have a series of oversized metal ‘studs’ affixed directly to the flesh. Comes in both bloodied and ‘clean’ variations, and the fabric can be changed between 10 different colors. Emily is available for Maitreya Lara.

Wicca’s Originals @ The Dark Style Fair 2019 (October 6th – 31st)

Legend says the Banshee is an omen of death. Their scream is supposed to herald someone’s imminent demise. With this creepy head replacer, it will be others who do the screaming. Black pits for eyes stare into one’s soul. Inhuman, large sharp teeth on an skull which is inhuman enough to be creepy comprise the face of it. The draped hood itself obscures the horror, when viewed from behind, possibly luring victims closer. Chain links are wrapped about the neck as if a heavy weight anchoring the spirit to the material world. An assortment of color combinations can be chosen, altering the bone and tooth color, the neck chain, and the hood.

Banshee is one peice: veil, face/head and collar. It is designed to replace your head so be sure to take it off or alpha it before wearing. Banshee will fit Lara, Hourglass and Freya. It comes with a HUD that offers 10 fabric colors, 6 skull colors, and 6 metal colors. Two versions of the head are included with purchase: one with the inner black head and one without.

Our Aura Mask is the perfect choice for a the Halloween season. Designed at its core in a traditional style, it departs from the usual with the wiring mesh covering the eye holes. The effect is quite unusual, and a bit unsettling, as it allows the wearer to see clearly enough but effectively obscures their eyes from view. Stitch work around the edge of the mask is carefully designed, giving it a rather elegant look. Comes in an assortment of colors to help accessorize any outfit you might wish to wear to a masquerade ball, or as part of a costume.

The Aura Mask is unisex and comes with a resizer. It also comes with a HUD that offers 10 color textures and 7 metal textures.

Kunoichi

Kunoichi: A kunoichi (Japanese: γγƒŽδΈ€) is a female ninja or practitioner of ninjutsu (ninpo). During the feudal period of Japan, ninjas were used as killers, spies and messengers. The training of kunoichi differed from the training given to male ninjas, although they had a common core of skills, being trained in martial arts, such as taijutsu, kenjutsu, and ninjutsu. Kunoichi training tended to prioritize female skills.

Again I had a Japanese desire and with the awesome “Masami” gown from Fellini and the super amazing Katana headpiece called “Shakatu”, it was time to full fill that desire πŸ˜‰ Both of those amazing creations you can find at the NEO Japan event thisΒ  month.

I needed shoes and first I thought about heavy boots as a fighter would wear them and then I was watching a movie… Sucker Punch! some of those really strong and kick ass looking ladies had heels on! Even if I doubt that you can fight and run on heels that great, the “Phoebe Slingbacks” from [Gos] looked so great to the whole look so I could not resist adding them to my look πŸ˜‰

Having already some ‘girly’ parts to my look, I thought I can add the stunning “Mayra” nails from Formanails as well and still be able to holding my Katana right *giggles*

I still find a lot of inspiration in the web for my posting ideas and this time it were the Kunoichi, that inspired me.

First I wanted to shoot it with a simple background, but then when I tried the Katanas, which had those cool flames coming with them, the fire idea was born. The poses for this amazing shoot certainly were made by Poseidon Poses, one of my favorite pose stores especially when it comes to action and movement in pictures.

For this round of the Black Fair we have created something special just for you!
Our Ina Boots will turn heads! The sleek design hugs the curves of your lower leg to just below the knee. Delicate crossing laces tied in a bow are contrasted by the buckled straps hinting at a more of an edge.
