Hoverboarding

CyberPunk Fair is over – Sadly!

But I am not yet done with my cyber moods *giggles*. The event had so many awesome new designs and creations, I just cannot stop yet to play with what I got.

Today I had mega fun with the “Samurai Hoverboard” from UNGOD and the matching pose set from Poseidon. Gryphon Vendetta, owner and designer of both brands, included a  more simple looking board in the pose set but I loved the hover board and the katana so much from the UNGOD set that I had to cheat them in 😉

Again I have to say, how much I love Poseidon Poses. They are so full of energy and so well thought through, it really inspires a lot of you have such poses for pictures – they are really poses for special purposes!

And again I am happy to show you another side of the “Simone” head from LeLutka. I do not know how to say, but the “Simone” head, is one of the most versatile ones. I know that some call it edgy and not as smooth as other ones, but maybe that is exactly what I do love. Every skin gives you different looks and with using the editing sliders, you even can force that more. This time I wanted a cyberpunk look and with the blue skin and some modification tattoos it really got a light machine character. The lips do have an amazing shape. I am not a friend of too full lips for my look and with thinner lips most heads do look angry – but not “Simone”!

With the cool face mods from  -[TWC]- and the crone ,paired with some cool cyber looking eyes from CURELESS [+], the whole look really became freaking cool. The smart “EmoTech Lens 1” from Astara, is a sweet little thing too. You can decide with a HUD, what kind of smiley face you want to show on your lens, as well you can choose your color. The cool neko headpiece was made by the one and only Deccan Arida from [The Forge] and it certainly could not be missed for my cyberpunk style today 🙂

What caught my attention as well were the lipsticks from nox. They do give the lips that awesome plastic look and oyu have many colored to choose from.

After all I do hope Flair for Events will make the CyberPunk Fair an annual event as I really miss this kind of things and it was like heaven to find so many in one place 🙂

Wicca’s Originals @ CYBERPUNK Fair 2019 (May 4th – 25th)

We are thrilled to be a part of the first ever Cyberpunk Fair! In honor of this special event we have created a 5 piece ensemble exclusive to the event. I fully agree with Pablo Picasso and I truly believe that in every artist lives a child’s heart somehow. The imagination of a child is often without any boarders and only if we can manage to keep that a little, we can do all the crazy things that we see in front of our inner eye.

I kept a lot of that I guess and often people call me kiddo in RL if I have crazy ideas :p . For this picture series, which I made for the actual Eclipse Magazine, I used a lot of this illimitable imagination, that overcomes me if I see the creations of Noke Yuitza – owner and genius designer behind E.V.E Studio. I know Noke for quite a long time and I do enjoy his extraordinary craziness a lot. His brain must have similar weird circuits, than mine has, his things instantly click with my mind and built pictures in my head. So when Trouble asked me if I could do a spread for the magazine about E.V.E Studio I was dancing in my chair and I did not have to think about it –  I just said yes in a blink.

First I thought I should put all the pictures in one post, but then I realized they are so different, they would overlay each other and none would get the attention that it should have. So I will post one here and there in between my on going posts and hope you do enjoy the as much as me when I did them 😉

Surreal Dreams

I just realized I had a lot of unpacked gacha items in my inventory and so I was cleaning and sorting that huge folder, when I stumbled over the boxes of the Selenopolis gacha…

When I unpacked all the boxes… the more I saw the more I got excited! How I could I not yet have used those for pictures ?!?! I love all kind of cyber stuffs and with that kind of clothing and body modification, you can do so cool and amazing, surreal pictures.

With that kind of look, the set screams for being futuristic and surrealistic. What else than the amazing designs of E.V.E Studio would fit so amazing to that kind of style? I love the way how Noke Yuitza visions his dream worlds and with his creations it is really easy, to set up a surrealistic environment. I mixed and matched all kind of newer and older items together to create my background.

I guess I do have to unpack more and see what else got hidden in my inventory mess 😉 Maybe I discover some more cool stuff for new pictures!

Recently I had the huge luck and pleasure to meet one of my dearest friends from SL in RL. I never would have thought of ever seeing her for real as she comes from Australia, the other half of the world!

We met in Bamberg, a romantic and amazing little city in Germany. She was on a little world trip and came to Germany on a river trip with a huge boat. The weather was amazing and so we could walk around and see a little bit of the historic buildings and then we sat down in the sun at a cafe and had some coffee and typical German drinks from our region. The feeling when I could hug her for real was indescribably amazing and priceless. She was exactly like I got to know her and it immediately felt so familiar and as I would know her my whole life. It was one of the rare moments, that showed me why it was worth sticking so long to SL as I never would have met her otherwise.

Sis, I know we are living so far apart, but I really, really wish I get another possibility to see and hug you again. After having that chance once, I do not want it to be the first and last time we did that! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your trip and come home safe!

I had to say that first before I start my regular post as I am so happy about that 😉

Today I was in a cyber mood again and I was waiting for so long to have a reason to buy that cool tentacles from [CX]. Being in SL for over 10 years, normally means you have a uncontrollable inventory – at least in my case. I do have so many things, even if I do not use them to much – or not at all – some of them have amazing memories to them and I simply can’t delete them. I do sort and as well clean it out, but no matter what I can’t make it below a certain number and even that number grows every year for some reason :p

That was why I did impose a rule on myself… “Never buy something you do not have an initial idea for, or that you do not use in a reasonable time frame!” Sometimes that is really hard as I see many things on events and in stores, that I do like immensely…

With that, I at least protect my inventory from exploding too much but, it still grows… just slower*giggles*

It did change my whole shopping habit a lot, as well it did change my view on some things. I used to buy lots of stuff and then I even forgot, that I got them. Sometimes I found things weeks and month after I got them and they already were dusty and old and I had still no idea what to use them for 🙁

Now I get excited again when I buy things, as I know I maybe waited a while before I found the inspiration for, or I was thinking hard to imagine what I could do with them. I do not know how to describe but things got more value to me again. It does make a difference if you just buy things because you want to have them, or if you buy things to actually use them. It did feel bad when things stayed unused and got deleted some when without not having them used at least once even if it is ‘only’ virtual goods. Someone worked to create them and it feels disrespectful to me for what ever reason.

What kind of a shopper you are? Do you think much about what you buy or do you just buy all you like?

Again it was crazy time.. I felt it coming already a few days ago*giggles*

When I got the “Nexus Cyber Bikini” it kinda jinxed it 😉 When I put it on, I immediately was thinking how a cyber-girl could go swimming and how that scenery could look in the future.

The “Nexus Cyber Bikini” is part of the Summer Loving hunt and set for 50% off until the 13th of May (http://bepsl.com/summer-loving-hunt/). It comes with that amazing HUD that A&Y always puts to her designs. I do love it a lot as it gives you so many different possibilities on so many parts of the creation and still is clearly labeled.

Since the bikini should be the focus today, I was very minimalistic on the accessories and only picked a few parts to support the futuristic look that I wanted to have.

If you are looking for strong, powerful poses that show action and movement and as well can me snapped from all kind of awesome angles, you should make your way to Poseidon – Gryphon Vendetta, owner and creator of Poseidon, is a god with exactly that. He never stop to amaze me with the new ideas. It is like he would imagine a special scenery, then make a pose set exactly for that and it seems his creativity never comes to an end – thank god! This time I used a lot of the “Flight” sets. The water with all that detailed parts around it gave me a ‘lost in space’ feeling and so the gravity did not really take place anymore in my mind 😉

For the scenery I picked only items from E.V.E Studio. The creations of Noke Yuitza are just simply perfect for any fantasy or futuristic sets. I do love how many different pats can be combined to a whole and what you can do with all that creations together. Some even have inbuilt lights, that bring the ambiance ‘alive’ – if that makes sense.

It really was fun to go crazy again and I hope you can see that through the pictures as well 😉

Wicca’s Wardrobe – Haley @ Thereafter 2017

Thereafter is a Second Life theater, music and sales event celebrating humanity and society in a post-apocalyptic world. We are thrilled to be a part of this extraordinary event

Our contribution to the amazing post-apocalyptic fashion on display is Haley.

This outfit is comprised of a bodysuit, harness, garters and arm guards…all of which can be worn separate. Haley comes with a texture changing HUD and is made for Maitreya’s Lara.

Cyberpunk – What is that?

Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction in a future setting that tends to focus on society as “high-tech low life” featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as information technology and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order.

Cyberpunk plots often center on conflict among artificial intelligences, hackers, and megacorporations, and tend to be set in a near-future Earth, rather than in the far-future settings or galactic vistas found in novels such as Isaac Asimov’s Foundation or Frank Herbert’s Dune. The settings are usually post-industrial dystopias but tend to feature extraordinary cultural ferment and the use of technology in ways never anticipated by its original inventors (“the street finds its own uses for things”). Much of the genre’s atmosphere echoes film noir, and written works in the genre often use techniques from detective fiction.

Classic cyberpunk characters were marginalized, alienated loners who lived on the edge of society in generally dystopic futures where daily life was impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body.

Cyberpunk to me is a very interesting style category and not always easy. Many times I saw people confounding cyberpunk with post apocalyptic styles and the other way round. But in the end those are 2 totally different things. While you have kinda nothing to style from for post apocalyptic looks – basically you only can wear what you find, left over after an apocalypse – with cyberpunk you have all kind of fancy, hyper high-tech and futuristic accessories and implants in a sci-fi looking surrounding.

As well for the colors you have a very different choice. While post apocalyptic mostly uses, black, brown and all kind of grey shades, for the cyberpunk stuffs you see a lot of lights, electricity and mostly you have a blue, teal, green, pink and cold/neon looking color palette where you go from – besides black certainly 😉

It is very easy if you just type cyberpunk or post apocalyptic to google and then look at all the pictures and movies you can find. For me a typical cyberpunk movie would be Ghost in the Shell or even the Matrix Trilogy to just name 2 popular ones of so many existing 🙂

Maybe I will go over post apocalyptic soon too, since we are short before the amazing ‘Thereafter‘ event (https://thereaftersl.wordpress.com/), but I had a desire to do some cyberpunk today, because it is such a great style that rarely gets showcased and I really do love it a lot. We can do all the funky things with implants and not yet existing gadgets 😉

You should try it and be not afraid of looking awkward or funky in the first place.. I just can say when you started, it can become an addiction 😉

Only the sky is the limit since everything is a futuristic dream when it comes to cyberpunk  – and all of us have different dreams and visions of the future…
