Surreal Dreams

I just realized I had a lot of unpacked gacha items in my inventory and so I was cleaning and sorting that huge folder, when I stumbled over the boxes of the Selenopolis gacha…

When I unpacked all the boxes… the more I saw the more I got excited! How I could I not yet have used those for pictures ?!?! I love all kind of cyber stuffs and with that kind of clothing and body modification, you can do so cool and amazing, surreal pictures.

With that kind of look, the set screams for being futuristic and surrealistic. What else than the amazing designs of E.V.E Studio would fit so amazing to that kind of style? I love the way how Noke Yuitza visions his dream worlds and with his creations it is really easy, to set up a surrealistic environment. I mixed and matched all kind of newer and older items together to create my background.

I guess I do have to unpack more and see what else got hidden in my inventory mess 😉 Maybe I discover some more cool stuff for new pictures!

Prisoner of Colors

And again I dare to experiment with vibrant colors :p

I have to admit the more I try the more I do really enjoy it. Sometimes in Photoshop I catch myself, when I fall back to old habbits and start to lightly desaturate the picture, but then I call myself on it and go back to work with those strong colors and bring them up even more.

I realized that the contrast of black and a bright strong color is even more interesting than just mute the colors afterwards. You can create really dramatic pictures by keeping them or even force them out a little more than you had them by snapping. As well you can do a lot with lights and projectors to let those colors pop more and create a certain ambiance with them.

Recently I tried to imagine a situation when I started to shoot to get more emotions into my pictures. I realized that if I do think about a certain moment or create a moment in my head before I start, the expression of the picture and becomes way stronger. The more I feel my picture, the better I can use face expressions as well. For quite some time, I only was looking for poses that showcased the outfits perfectly but sometimes the results looked nice but I felt nothing by looking at them. Maybe that sounds silly but for me that was a step forward with my own photography and blogging.

This time, I was imaging a space ship. The inspiration came from the movie ‘Pitch Black’, where Riddick was a prisoner on a space ship. So I was trying first on a broken space ship but that was not strong enough for that what I wanted to express. Then I remembered a backdrop I got from RAMA, that exactly did feature the colors I needed, and with the iron bars it perfectly did feature my basic ‘Riddick’ idea as well 🙂

What else could fit better to a futuristic, post apocalyptic vision better than the designs of A&Y Cybernetics… and since Anabel Crystal – owner and designer of A&Y Cybernetics –  did release such amazing designs lately on all kind of events , to me it felt like fate to style up something with those amazing creations.

With the amazing HUD it was so easy and cool to color some parts in a strong, deep orange and keep the basic outfit in black. I love how the material are done as they reflect the light so perfect, you really can ge the impression and vibe that I wanted for todays pictures.

With all the straps and buckles, the short and really well shaped top and legwarmers, the whole ensemble really got a super sexy touch, but as well a very strong attitude in my opinion. I do like that combination a lot 😉

With such a cool look I certainly needed hair, that goes with that style. I anyways be guilty for loving crazy things and therefor it was no wonder why I fell in love with the “Zeo Cyber” hair as well made by A&Y Cybernetics.

The best makeup I can imagine for such strong and unusual looks certainly had to come from Zibska. I adore the way how Zib Scaggs, owner and designer of Zibska, does her makeups. She created so many different ones already and does not stop to amaze me with new ideas. As well I love the variety of colors you can find for her makeups. Anyways if you look for something light or pastel or strong and deep hued – Zib does not let any desire unfulfilled. And if you think lipstick only can be a certain color variety, Zibska will prove you wrong, too. At Zibska you will find so many different way how you can ‘decorate’ your lips. Different shapes, special shades and unusual lights and shadows. You will find the matching makeup for all kind of styles from sweet casual to absolute avantgard or even futuristic creations.

Again I was surprised how cool vibrant colors can be without looking like comic or ‘overloaded’ and I guess I will try more colors soon 😉

I do have an addiction for cyber punk and futuristic looks… but I guess thats not new;)

What is new is the hairstyle from A&Y which I completely fell in love with 😉

A&Y always was one of my first choices for cyber or futuristic hair. The ideas of Anabel Crystal, Owner and designer of A&Y, are just incredible amazing. She has that special look to all her creations, when you see designs you immediately know she made them. The “Lucia Cyber Hair” is a perfect example for the incredible eye for the detail of Anabel Crystal. The haistyle is an unsymmetrical one, which I anyways love and it is decorated with amazing tubes on one side, which go around, down the neck to meet the tail on the other side.

What I adore as well is that with A&Y has some super vibrant colors in their hair. You can wear them as one color only or you can use the strong colors to set an accent to your style. That brings me to the amazing HUD for the A&Y hair. When I first used it, it took me a moment, to realize I cannot immediately use it, I have to connect the HUD first to my hairstyle. So you wear your hair, then the HUD and the you use the connect button on the HUD to ‘activate’ both to work together. The great advantage of that HUD is, that you can choose each section, which you want to color separately and clearly labeled. Each part of the tubes, the hair parts and every single decoration. I rarely saw such complex and great HUDs for hair, that are to operate so easy and detailed.

Certainly such a great hair needed a strong look to go with. I wanted to underline the cyber though with a non human skin. I remembered that I got an amazing unusual skin pack from YS&YS longer ago, with 4 very different colored skin tones. The great metal effect for the skin and the face, was part of another skin from YS&YS but it perfectly worked with the Zafiro tone from the “Ginny” pack. With the “Samara” outfit from Wicca’s Wardrobe, the cool stompers from DRD, the cyber arm from Naurolab Inc. and the long claws from Meva the look totally nailed a cyber look for me.

While I was styling the look for today I already got more cyber ideas :p So I guess it should not be too long until my next futuristic post 😉

The theme was Terrae Firma, and we was asked to create pictures about a new race of the existing planets or a new planet. When Tayler told me, I was immediately sure I wanted to create a new planet with a new race.

I wanted to do something still fashion related and human but to the same time, futuristic and apocalyptic. I love apocalyptic movies and art and so I watched  a few of my favourite movies while I was styling.

The first piece that came to my mind was the “Lucian Hat Nox” hat from Machoire. An incredible headpiece made of so many filigree parts and textured with such a great feeling for materials.

Now I had to find something what kinda showed evolution for the future but still has a human aspect for the whole look.

The head-piece gave a rough idea for the general colors, back and some kind of metal should be the basic.

So started with a super old but still amazing top from Muhi. One of the brands I really miss in SL as they always were up to date and very fashion forward.

I know some people are against wearing old stuff and tell always to delete older things, but I am going more with my belly feeling and keep old things which I really like to combine them with new things. That sometimes can make a look very unique, as long as you keep the general style up to date and modern. Certainly some things are outdated some when, like the super old skins or hair, wich automatically let you look like 2007 :p , but for some clothing pieces and accessories that might not be the case 😉 . As well I would say there is a difference in wearing old things for a picture or on the runway as some of the older things just react weird with movement, especially if they have huge static prims or sculpties, wich can look better with a nowadays mesh prim that actually moves with your properly.

To add a modern touch I put on my “Lavinia Leggins” in anthracite, which I made for my store Wicca’s Wardrobe. With the leathern garter belt over the leggings – one piece to wear – it got a strong and powerful look but as well some sexy attitude.

To finish the basic human look I added hells from Death Row Designs with some heavy chains and a huge plateau heel.

Now the challenge started to develop the human race forward to fit in the futuristic and apocalyptic environment, that I had in my mind for the new planet and race.

The first idea was the “Demonhands” from Death Row Designs. The sharp claws are important to fight and survive on the new planets face.

I so many apocalyptic movies females wear corsets in some style and this made me add one corset of Trilobite over the “Asymetrical Bodysuit” from Muhi. And what should not miss? Some weapon looking accessories. Those I found as well at Death Row Designs.. I bet you can tell I love this store really a lot 😉 .

 The finish was the “Centipede” spine attachment, that comes with a wonderful tattoo layer. The tattoo makes the spine look like, as it would grow out directly off your back.

All the poses used in this post are from Del May, one of my favourite pose makers beside PosESioN or Corpus to just name a few.

And like I said in the beginning, It was so hard to decide between all the pictures I made, that this post is a little bit picture heavy 😉

I would like to thank Taylor Wassep for this amazing opportunity and the great inspiration of her theme. The THEMA Magazine is for me really kinda an art exhibition with amazing stylists and photographers and I am feeling very honored that I was allowed to be part again 🙂

Wicca’s Wardrobe – Our Second Original Mesh

Today I am very happy and proud as well…. First of all my RL goes better and better what really gets me more and more in a positive mood and second… I am able to show you the second original mesh item of Wicca’s Wardrobe.

Lately we started to learn Blender with help of some friends and after a lot of practice and try and error I am very, very proud to say we made our second orignal mesh the “Cybernetic Eye”

I have a mega favour on steam punk and cyber stuffs and so the idea of that “Cybernetic Eye” was not too far off my direction. The one who made it possible for Wicca’s Wardrobe is my RL & SL partner Redclaw Inshan. Cause he is the one who kinda defeated Blender :p

So he has to put up with strange and weird ideas of mine and helps me to make them become real… ok.. virtual real 😉 Sometimes he is loosing his mind and temper and sometimes he even adds more crazy ness to my ideas, or he comes with amazing ideas of himself.

I am really looking forward to what the future will bring with the possibility to now make things out of our imagination.

Wicca's Wardrobe - CD Teaser Mood 1

The rest of the whole look as well is made by Wicca’s Wardrobe. The whole ensemble at the moment is available at the Couturier’s Docks. This special aluminium black combination is limited to 50 pieces only for the jacket, the pants, the heels and the cybernetic eye in that particular colors.

From the “Cayla” jacket and the “Renraku” pants there are still a few left at Couturier’s Docks but the special color combination of the “Lorraine” heels already sold out. That’s why I made one more pair of heels wich go with this futuristic look – the “Locked Heels” in aluminium.

News from [sys] – Futuristic Mood

If you are in a spacey, cyber or future mood what else than sys and Zibska you can use to think about a styling 😉

I totally fell in love with one of the latest releases of sys called “Exes”. The ensamble contains a wonderful sexy corset and a short skirt. The combination of the black base and the light blue applications caught my attention as i like this color combination a lot.

For those who know me for a while, you know that I never can have something stand alone and that I love to mix and match different designers and sometimes even different styles to create a new look. The “Exes” outfit already was a great start, but I wanted to add some more and so I remebered the “Sybella Noir” dress from Zibska, that I got at the SAVIAD fasion fair. The collar and the cuffs just were perfect to brake the more minaimal looking corset and skirt and added something different and strange to it with the pretty flowers in that very stong and dark black. Now I needed some hair that again would not be too elegant, but as well looks nottoo boring as well. I have to admit, I was wering that hair a lot lately and it became kinda a all time favourite of mine. The “Kat” hairstyle from EMO-tions would be soemthing I would LOVE to try RL on stage with the band as well 😉 .

Now for a female’s worst nightmare… shoes…

Do you know that feeling if you open your closed RL or your inventory SL, even if you have about 150 or more pair of shoes you still think that you have no shoes?

So it was with this styling too. I was trying several of my shoes and some was like … ‘ok’, but nothing really jumped into my eyes. All of a sudden I remebered, that I bought some shoes for slink feet lately on Marketplace, wich I not yet did unpack or sort into my shoe folder.

Welcome to my second nighmare… how those shoes were called and where in my overfilled object folder they are…

“Gladiator Couture Princess Boots”!!!

Yes! Something with Gladiator it was and thank god the inventory search was nice enough to work! Those mesh boots are made for the high version of the Slink feet and it comes in 2 different versions. One materials version for SL and Firestorm users, wich shows a subtile reflection on the shoes if you are able to turn your graphics up to advanced lightning and as well another version for all of those who either use another viewer or cannot pull up the graphics so high. For this post I used the no materials version, as the reflection of the boots nearly let them shine blue and I wanted the dark black to my styling.

Last but not least I looked though my makeup folder. I did not want too much but as well the whole look kinda requested something. So I decided to go with the “Zion” makeup from Nuuna and one of my Wicca lipsticks from Silken Moon wich is tinatable so I could make my own color to match the look.

Final Fantasies with ~*S.E.*~ , Yasum & GizzA

The FF7 Livestream RP Community is opening their doors with a bang. They host a 2 week shopping extravaganza from February 7th to February 21st. All items showcased there are some kind of Final Fantasy inspired as well as steampunk, futuristic and cyber punk orientated.

For my today’s look I chose the “Oculus Enhancements” by Souzou Eien . Thos amazing eye decorations really inspired me to do a styling that goes in a futuristic and steampunk direction.

The “Oculus Enhancements” are very versatile and you can customize nearly each part of it with a menu by touch. You can change the color of every part to make sure it will match your extravagant styling.

To underline the attitude of the “Oculus Enhancements”, I chose to wear some hair, I got longer ago from a gacha. The “Codie” hair by Discord Designs just looked amazing with the “Oculus Enhancements”.

For the jacket I took the “Vintage Leather Jacket” from GizzA. With the open front and the used leather look it was the best addition I could think of for this kinda special look.

Since it was open and I did not wanna put a shirt under it, I added some dirt and mud as well as some scratches to get this kinda apocalyptic look and mood, as if I just survived a fight;) .

The cool Steampunk Leggings” are made by Yasum. They originally were made for a steam punk event, but they just were perfect for my look. The come with a huge HUD wich lets you change colors and fabrics of the pants, the heels as well as from the added belt buckle. What really caught my attention was that the shoes are right connected to them and the heel was made with such love to the detail. All those cool little steam punk gears put together really caught my heart 😉 .

In the year 2050 – News from Creepy’s Fetishwear

Sometimes you think what fashion or clothing in the future might be… with Creepy’s ideas and creations you might get an idea of what future fashion will be 😉

The new “Cyber Punk Catsuit” in pink i guess you will be prepared to be a future fashionista. For me the idea of future fashion goes 2 different ways. One that will be a colorful and shining huge wardrobe and the other will be a very tight and shape based tight wardrobe, what allows you to be fast and very sexy 😉 .

The “Cyber Punk Catsuit” from Creepy’s is a mixture of layers and mesh prims. The basic pink catsuit accents the well-shaped body in an awesome way. The high over knee boots are mesh made and so you do not have any longer the weird angles on your knees. The super tight corset and the amazing jacket with the half face mask are as well mesh parts and perfectly lay on you body. The combination of the latex texture of the catsuit and the more structured one of the jacket, boots and corset are a perfect mix for me.

The makeup I choose comes from Lovely Mi. The “Ashraya Pink” eye makeup, with the pink down part and the white upper part was the perfect match for my todays look. Together with the “Diavolo” hairstyle from Vanity Hair, my vision of a future fashion look was complete. The wings are something, I got way in the past for a lingerie show but colored in pink they just gave the extra touch of being crazy for me 😉 .
