Finesmith Muse 2012 – My Finale Styling

For the finale of the Finesmith Muse 2012 we got the theme to be a romantic princess… not my usual style but I tried my best 😉 I know it was some time that the finals were done, but my I wanted to have pictures done by my sweet little sister Falbala Fairey. With all the MVW 2012 she was so busy and I am very happy and grateful that she took time for me and this fantastic pictures. Thank you so much sissy they are fabulous and exact what I had in mind :), you made me look like a beautiful princess 😉

The description for the show we had to write on our own again and I got help from the wonderful Sweetest Sands. She is a wonderful person with a huge imagination and fantasy and awesome writing skills and a nother sister of mine. She wrote me a story that we just had to shorten lightly , so that it could be used during the show. I am very grateful that I have such an awesome support from people who I am allowed to call family 🙂

Story:

Many years ago in a far away land there lived an enchanted kingdom deep in the heart of a forest, where both fairies and humans lived together in harmony.  The King was a handsome strong and kind human man, and the Queen the most beautiful sparkling fairy ever seen before.  The Queen’s gift of her sparkle lit the kingdom brightly at night which was important as the all the trees would block the light from the moon and stars above.

The King and Queen lived many happy years together until one day the stars sent them the gift of a special daughter called Princess Wicca, who had the strength of her father, both the beauty and the sparkle of her mother.
One day a great storm befell the Kingdom and for many days the skies rained heavily and the sky the darkest shade of grey that Princess Wicca had ever seen before. The week before Princess Wicca’s birthday the storm had passed, but so too had her sparkle, as if it had been washed away by the rain drops.  The Princess looked everywhere she could but feared her sparkle had been lost forever. The King and Queen called upon all the humans and fairies to help to find the Princess’s sparkle before the twelve hour of the day of her birthday, in return they would reward the gift of as many Finesmith jewels as they could carry.

Everyone in the kingdom set out to find the Princess’s sparkle, with humans searching the land and fairies searching the sky in hopes of being the lucky one to find it.
From one nearby kingdom, a handsome charming Prince decided to join the search in hopes of being the winner.
Days passed and hopes of finding the lost sparkle of Princess Wicca began to seem but a distant dream and many stopped searching, but the Prince seemed determined not to give up searching even the smallest flowers and tallest trees.

The day of Princess Wicca’s birthday arrived but the joyful day had no meaning for her with the great loss of her sparkle.  She was wearing just a simple white gown from Tres Beau, ornamented with the “BlackBarbie” train and her favourite Finesmith jewelry. The “Winterflower” earrings, her “January” necklace, the “Kagami” ring she got from her father as she was born and a little “Snowflake” brooch. Her parents tried their best to give her hope even though there was but a few minutes from striking twelve.

As the Princess turned her head to look into the distance as the clock began to chime, she noticed a handsome man carrying a gold chest with a velvet ribbon tied around it walking towards her.  With bated breath she stood perfectly still with the great hopes of it being her lost sparkle.  The man knelt before her “Princess Wicca, it is with great honour I bestow upon you the return of you once lost precious sparkle.” And with that he placed the chest before her, eager to see it she pulled hard on the ribbon and lifted up the lid of the chest as fast as she could, and there before her very eyes was indeed her found sparkle of light.

The Princess danced around and around laughing out loud now reunited with her once lost sparkle, the Prince admired her beauty.  Both the King and Queen overwhelmed with joy presented the Prince as many jewels as he could carry and joined their daughter in the celebrations.

MVW 2012: Evening Gown for Miss Thailand 2012 by Elan

The wonderful “Miss Virtual World” gown by Elan was worn by Miss Thailand 2012, Miss DiamondGem Destiny. Alatiel Malies shows that she is an experienced SL designer for quite some time with that amazing gown. One thing I admired Alatiel Malies always for, she is the perfect example that simplicity can be so stylish and fashionable. The “Miss Virtual World” gown again shows that you do not need a hell lot of prims and a million different textures to make an elegant and interesting gown. The skirt is open in the front and with that it has a very sexy touch added to the elegant style. If you take a second view you will see the beautiful details and textures Alatiel added on this gown, the little flowers at the hips, the wonderful prim that decorates the deep neckline in the front, simply stunning. The “Miss Virtual World” gown from Elan is available in 8 more awesome colors. Just make your way to the Elan Mainstore and check it out!

Finesmith Muse 2012 – Semi Finale Review

Yesterday, on the 27th of November, the semi finals for the Finesmith Muse 2012 took place. I was allowed to be one of the lucky ones to be part of it . We got a very nice challenge and rules for our styling.

Yula send out a NC with the requests she had for all of the contestants. The theme was fantasy but still being human, so not having fantasy skins… some people told me that this is my theme to go wild with horns and wings and stuff… so I wanted to go completely different and not doing what people expect from me :p. So I took the risk to go for cute and fairytale *grins* rare but there 😉

As well I wanted to redo as many jewelry attachments to use them as a different thing as they usually were thought for. So the great “Victorian Secrets” earrings became my dolly ballet shoes, The “Jellyfish” headpiece became the dolly skirt and as well parts of the bracelets. Then a windup dolly needs a wind up key so I just took the “Victorian Secret” necklace, turned it around and made it way bigger before I attached it to my back ;). The collar inspired by Blackliquid went on my head, got turned around and turned into a hat 🙂

To make the fantasy fairytale complete I had the idea of a lonely sad windup dolly locked away in her glass cage and my genius sister Rhonda Pennell helped me with the story and proper english 😉 Thank you sissy!

Few of us can resist the magical power of a full moon shining brightly in the otherwise dark hours of the night…for some, it means sleepless wandering, for others, a metamorphosis. But for one single doll, a wind-up doll locked in a glass cage, it means a taste of freedom.

You see, our lovely doll, Wicca Merlin, was betrayed by the young, dashing prince she once loved. The prince was very charming and swept Wicca off her feet from the start, but he soon met another woman who was a beautiful but cunning witch, and he began spending more time with her and less with Wicca.

Poor Wicca! Her sweet, innocent soul unable to withstand the raging waves of jealousy, she became enraged and locked the prince away, letting him out only once every month on a full moon – for it was the most romantic time that Wicca could imagine spending with him. But the young witch found out, and before long, she and the prince schemed against our doll to doom her to the same fate.

Cursed, Wicca must now endure long, lonely hours in her glass cage, its door unlocking only on a moonlit night. But she must return before sunrise when the door once again closes, or she will perish in an instant.

Tonight the door opens once more, and our doll steps out in all of her shining Finesmith beauty. She takes a breath of the fresh, cool air, spreading her arms decorated with “Buckleup Jellyfish” bracelets like wings unfolding, and slowly begins to twirl. Her “Jellyfish”dolly skirt, her “Victorian Secret”ballet shoes, her “Leah”corset and even the hair with the “Blackliquid” hat, all sparkling and glistening under the moonlight, making her feel beautiful – and hopeful that perhaps this time, this very night, at last she might find a true love to rescue her from the confines of the glass cage forever, for only true love can break the curse.

The hours pass by, and lovely Wicca enjoys rare moments of happiness as she runs through the forest, and once even passes by a small pond where frogs croak softly by the edge and fish chase each other below the water, all doused in a silver moonlight glow. Or is the glow coming from our doll herself? She gently dips a finger in the water and giggles, as tiny circles spread from the center and grow larger, momentarily distorting her reflection.

But morning comes quickly, and in growing despair Wicca realises that she must once again return to the glass box. A single tear drops from her eye like a liquid diamond…She turns around once more, then steps inside as the door begins to close. As she prepares to go to sleep for another month, a soft glow remains, emanating from her Finesmith outfit – a glow of hope for eventual salvation.

The End

In Memoriam of Freddy Mercury

Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara (5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Queen. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Killer-Queen”, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “We are the Champions”. In addition to his work with Queen, he led a solo career, penning hits such as “Barcelona”, “I was born to love You” and “Living on my Own”. Mercury also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician (piano or vocals) for other artists. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS on 24 November 1991, only one day after publicly acknowledging he had the disease.” (Wikipedia)

Today 20 years ago, one of the most genius musician with one of the most famous voices, lost his life to his disease. GizzA right in time did this wonderful “Freddy Mercury” inspiration.
