Ok, to be fair – The pictures for this post were inspired a lot by “True Blood”. True Blood is an American dark fantasy horror television series produced and created by Alan Ball and based on “The Southern Vampire Mysteries”, a series of novels by Charlaine Harris.

I watched it alredy in the past but I always missed the 7th season and now I finally found it on sky – Hooray \o/!!! Maybe that is, why I was going for an After Dark feeling 😉

So, while I was watching on my second screen I styled up the amazing “Bianca” harness, made by Salt & Pepper. It originally was released for the Fetish Fair this year, but I am sure you will find it at the main store by now. That harness really hides nothing *grins* and shoes off all of your beauty to the one you like to play with *winks* – Red totally liked it, too! With the HUD you get 8 different leather and 5 different metal colors to play with. Certainly  went with black as it is my personal favorite color anyways. So even if I try sometimes to not use the black options, I can’t do anything against it, if it nevertheless happens 😉

Mostly I avoid showing my private parts to the public, but I did not want to cover the outfit with another piece of clothing. So when I saw the “No.Help” hairstyle from no.match, it was the perfect solution to my little personal problem. The hair covers the needed bits and still shows the awesome harness – mission achieved!

I was wearing boots for the shoot, but since they are mostly cut off I did do a closeup only for them. The “Kate Thigh High Boots”- made by [Gos] – are so super awesome, that they deserved a special spotlight still 😉 They really go up very high and I do LOVE that height for all short bodysuit or harness outfits. I personally see more sexiness in covered legs than just having them blank. That can be over-knee boots, stockings, socks or tights – anyways what I prefer it over having bare legs, except for swim-wear. The boots are made for all the popular mesh bodies (Maitreya, Slink & Belleza) and you get a lot of color options with 3 different HUD packs and you as well have the choice, if you would like a thin or a thick heel style with each of the HUDs (like you can see on the picture below) I only captured 5 different colors but you will have a total of 21 different colors to chose from.

As I mentioned in a post before, I was selected to be a LeLutka blogger and so you will have always a closeup for each post from now on. I am a LeLutka addicted anyways and I did not wear any other heads on my blog since the LeLutka bento heads came out. My main head I am wearing for my SL Wicca” character is the “Simone” bento head from LeLutka. That is the head I know best for now as I am working with it for a while with shapes and skins, but I will learn to work others as well – I already started practicing *grins* But I want to show as well how versatile one head can be with different shapes and skins too and so here is my close up for today – “Simone” in all her beauty with my main skin from “The Skinnery” and face mods from Izzies for freckles, pores, wrinkles and blemishes!

Wicca’s Originals @ CYBERPUNK Fair 2019 (May 4th – 25th)

This picture is something very special and as well unusual for me.

It was made not just for being a fashion showcase, but as well being something abstract and artistic. Originally it was made for the February Issue of the Eclipse Magazine, but I could not resist to fool a little more with it in Photoshop and tweak it a little more. First I thought about not posting it as it already was in the magazine, but I do love it so much that I finally decided to make a post out of it *grins*.

I felt different doing this kind of picture, that does not have the main focus on the avatar itself, but as well being not a landscape or furniture post either. It was more to focus on a feeling, that was in my head when I put on those amazing artistic parts from E.V.E Studio. It felt like something from outer-space, but still something vulnerable and romantic. I tried to express that with the pose and the few things I added to the “Elf-2255” designs.

I have no idea if I make sense by saying that, but I hope you can get what I mean *winks*

Cyber & Sci-fi time again!

There is so many exciting events running at the moment, it is really hard to resist to not buy everything you see at those events… Especially if it is events like Black Fair, Epiphany, ACCESS or The Fantasy Faire even.

A few things I got nevertheless and they screamed cyberpunk/sci-fi for me 😉 I am still in my dark period with creating styles and pictures and the more I do, the more I enjoy it 🙂 With the dark and fantasy side of SL, I feel so much inspiration lately that I could post something every day if I would have the time to post process all my pictures. But since I wanted to use my easter holidays for learning new tricks in Photoshop, finishing pictures takes some time – even a little more with try and error these days *winks* The desire was to learn more about shading, lights and shadows and how they can be done realistic in Photoshop. I had some basic knowledge about that with a lot of layers, but I wanted to have a different result, something I saw a lot on flickr lately and that was why I forced myself to watch some tutorials and then try them instantly myself. I am not yet done completely with my research, but for today I was pretty satisfied how those new tips and ticks worked out.

The mega, amazing “Aeon Cyber Corset” is one of the latest releases from A&Y. I love the creations of Anabel Crystal, owner and designer of A&Y. She has a very special way for sci-fi and cyberpunk creations and I do love her skills for vinyl and leather clothing. The corset you can find at the actual round of the ACCESS event, while there is a matching top/jacket at the black fair, which I will have to showcase soon too (I saw that after I finished my styling for this post already).

The incredible “Voodoo” ears are as well a brand new release at the Black Fair. I love the ears of Eclipse Art Studio and Shina Shan never stop to amaze me with every new release. She always has another cool idea for the accessories of her ears. This time it was that little voodoo doll, that she added to the earlobes as an earring. The voodoo doll can be purchased as a single earring as well if you do not want to have the long elf ears ;). I love how easy you can tint the ears to match your skin and the possibility of all the tattoos you can add really make those ears so versatile.

For a strong, powerful outfit you need super cool boots and those I found with the “Roxy” boots from [Gos]. The boots are part of a gacha, which is a collaboration of [Gos ] and Lybra. I will have a post for that gacha and all of it’s beauty soon – the boots just matched so awesome with my look, that I could not resist to already use them *blushes* The thigh high boots are super tight and have an amazing laced back. Certainly there are more colors available than just black in the gacha 😉

For the location I was trying first to set up something by myself, but this time I did not wanna come together as I desired it and so I made may way out to see if I could find a cyberpunk sim for my pictures. First I tried Cocoon, which is amazingly built but for non group members you have no rez rights and I wanted to use my pose stand this time. I need to go back another time as they really do have amazing spots for pictures and the sim rules even allow photographers as long as you wear an OOC titler, which you can find at the landing spot.

I did remember, that Insilico had rezzing open at least for rezzing a pose stand top hop on. The auto-return kicks in after a few minutes, but as long as you sit on your stand, you are safe. Just do not get scared when you are done and stand up as the stand will be returned to your lost and found folder.

After I could not decide about a perfect spot and had shot some random snaps, I did remember a few backdrops, that I got as a present from a friend not too long ago. The whole gacha set is amazing and I hope, I can find/win the ones I still miss in my collection. The “Cyberpunk Capsule *7*” was the perfect background for my look.

And again I have to quote 2 lines from the phenomenal band Helloween (yes it is spelled like that!) to start my post with… I have to admit “Dr. Stein” is one of my favorite songs by Helloween, even if they to have a lot of good ones 🙂

I do have the “First Aid” gacha set – made by Salt & Pepper – for a little while now and I was thinking all the time, what I could do with it. I saw many amazing posts in the typical latex, fetish style and thought, I have to do something different with that amazing set. As a side note… I LOVE the humor of Salt and if you take a look at the Epiphany Exclusive you will know why :p She made one of the infusion bags on the stands filled with coffee. THAT made my day. So often I was thinking about having coffee intravenously, when I was tired and had to work longer than expected 😉 I really do adore a good sense of humor!

Ok so now back again to the whole set and a freaky idea how to showcase it without having the designer murder me. It is true that I always try to pull things away from the usual look, not because I think I am special, more to see what can be done with it and how much I can stretch out my fantasy and creativity, without looking the focus on the item. I do like to see thinks in different way and discover new possibilities.

This time it was not hard as I did know I want to do something that still has a clinic, hospital or medical science style, just not in the typical fetish way. It is not a secret, that I do have an addiction for steam punk, sci-fi and all kind of fantasy stuff, especially with a touch of creepy, funky elements. I was roaming through Marketplace again, to see whats new and to find some new things I could use to blog when I saw that amazing “Alien” movie/HR Giger inspired creature. The idea was born and the amazing “First Aid” gacha set from Salt & Pepper should have its very own special spotlight 🙂

The set contains – like a gacha set usually does – 5 different color versions (black, blue, green, red & white) of the lab coat, undies & pasties, gloves and cap as commons. As well commons are the 2 stands and a stethoscope.  The amazing dress and boots are the 2 rare items and as well have the 5 colors in a HUD. The 2 Syringes are the VIP gift (one bento to hold and one prop to rez), which you got when you spent 1000L$ on the machine. The whole outfit is made of latex and you can wear all parts layered as well, like you can see in the first picture, where I have the coat over the dress. I do love if you have gacha items, which you can wear single as well as a full outfit. In that way it never feels like loosing your money on a machine, to just have the one item that completes the outfit, while you can not wear anything without that one part! You always can wear everything what you win either as a full set or for a mix and match outfit. That makes gacha fun to play for me 🙂

All the medical equipment I used for the pictures I found on Marketplace as well and I linked the store in the credits below the post like usual. The Cryo Tank, Is a very special item to me. It was made by Gryphon Vendetta, owner and designer of Poseidon & UNGOD. He filled that amazing tank with super cool and creepy poses, which I do have to highlight in another post again. The tank was so perfect for my science experiment idea, that I just had to sneak it in as a prop.

It was so much fun to play with the whole set and like always it does hurt a little, to delete it. But I realized I cannot keep all my sets rezzed, as I will run out of prims really fast and can not build new sceneries *chuckles*. That enjoy as well and so it is a good compromise, to keep the pictures as a memory and let the actual sets go for  new ones!

Did you really think that would stop me?

Today I only wanted to do a teaser picture for our “Scratch Me Gloves” but in the end I had way to much fun playing with the look and poses and so I ended up doing pictures for a full post. I guess I am in a dark period again for doing pictures and I really do enjoy it. Before I get asked again… Yes I am ok and am feeling good. Just sometimes I do like my dark side and when it comes I have to let it out before it gets me completely 😉 Maybe that is my very own way to deal with such situations, but for me it works.

Again I have to say, for all my dark and scary visions  LOVE the poses from Poseidon. He has his very own way to make poses. Most of the time you can see it on pictures on the first view of the poses are from Gryphon Vendetta – owner and designer of Poseidon and UNGOD. The poses show motion, character and emotions and mostly they do have a strong attitude as well and are made for a certain purpose. You won’t find usual ‘standing’ poses at his store, which I do really enjoy. Each of his sets are an inspiration for pictures to me. He started a while ago to make props for his poses as well and lately he even started to make his own mesh, which I soon will have here on my blog as well – I already god some goodies 😉

When I styled up to just make a picture for our “Scratch Me Gloves”, which are for sale at the “Eclipse – October never dies!” event, I had one of those moments where the style kinda built up itself with each piece I put on and in the end it looked so cool that I thought it would be a shame not to post it *giggles* So here goes my result of having way too much fun again :p

Challenge Today: Combine Sweet Shoes with a Bow and Scary Gloves with Teeth & Tongue!

Lately I do have a lot of fun to give myself little ‘challenges’ for my styles and trying to complete the task. I thought about a way, how I can re invent my view on my blogging pictures. Certainly we do have our ‘duties’ too with deadlines and blogging rules, but I do not wanna see it just as a job. I realized if I just do pictures without any special thoughts behind them they start looking the same. I do not want to have the same look over and over again and those little challenges as well remind me what I do have in my inventory. After 10 years of blogging, you easily can loose track of what you have, but with little challenges and the fact that you force yourself to not just buy new accessories, but use what you already got, it really gets an interesting aspect again. Plus it has another great advantage, you stumble over things you would never wear again, as they are outdated or used too often already and you can just delete those and make room for new stuff 😉
Actually todays challenge was a fun one, as I really could go crazy again. Do you know that, if you got something because you liked  it and then you have no clue what you can do with it? That was what happened to me with the cool “Koronay Veil” from cinphul. I saw it and thought I need to have that and then I was sitting and staring at it a little frustrated, as nothing wanted to come to my mind besides that I love it. Sometimes you have to put things aside until they talk to you 😉 This happened today while I was trying to combine those awesome, sweet “Desir Stilettos” from Poison Rouge and the kick ass, uber cool “Voracity Gloves” from Cubic Cherry. I do have an addiction to scary, dark stuffs – and that felt like it could go directly into that direction.

Challenge: How to combine Shiny and Matte in one Look?!?

Today I just wanted to take a day off from SL and RL work and have some fun shooting some pictures without having any task or deadline.

Sometimes it is just nice to go through your inventory, sort your latest purchases and see what you can do with what you got. Especially if it is not full or ready made outfits, but some single items like special leg parts or a corset. I love o do mix and match outfits, even if it is sometimes a pain in the butt with fitted mesh. I mean you can cheat for a picture, but if you want to run around a while in SL with your new look.. not so much :p

I already said that before, but every time I again start mixing and matching, I could start cursing again and again. Not because of the designs, more about the fact that you can not anymore ‘layer’ clothing as easy anymore. Before, when we had standard sizes it wasn’t super easy either but you were able to lightly cheat with the different mesh sizes. Now with fitted mesh we have way more nice fits and movements and we can can have a more unique shape under our clothing again – everything has it’s own advantage I guess :p

Anyways, today I was in a ‘casual’ mood – a Wicca casual mood *winks* To me casual means nothing fancy, nothing elegant just the way how I would do an everyday outfit. Everyone has his/her own way, how they see their casual I guess. I can not even remember, what piece I started with this time. I know I was sorting my objects folder, all the things I got lately and while I was unpacking and sorting things properly into my inventory, trying things to know what exactly it was, if there were no pictures in the folder and some when I was wearing this jacket from A&Y and those cool leg parts from Insomnia Angel. First it did not look as it would fit together… the jacket is kinda shiny leather while the leg parts are made or a mode matte, suede looking leather. Such things poke my inner stubborn and I set myself a challenge to make them fit together – if that makes sense.

I was looking at both designs and tried to figure out what they do have together. First I realized the straps and the buckles on both items – the first ‘connection’ was made. I played around with the awesome HUD from A&Y for the “Siren Cyber Jacket” to see what combination works best color and shade wise with the leg parts. Then I found that neat corset, which had a light shone. Not as much as the jacket bit more than the leg parts. Perfect to create a ‘bridge’ for both parts :). The Corset originally came with a panty, which did not look like I wanted the style to. There the headache began again… challenge: find pants that fit under that corset! I typed ‘shorts’ in the search field of my inventory and found maaaany. Believe it or not, it took me nearly 2 hours until I found 3 (!) out of hundred that would work in terms of being black and fit under the corset and only that one I am wearing did match in the style I was looking for.

The rest should be kinda fast and easy compared to the shorts odyssey… at least I thought so until it came to the shoes… the “Lizzy  – Bandage Socks” – that is how the leg parts are called – have the great option too choose between high and flat feet on the HUD, I really loved that fact. I decided for my cool biker look it has to be flat feet, heavy style. I did aim for the idea to have the boots under the leg parts, but they are so awesome tight fitting, that it took a while until I found shoes that had the perfect height to still fit.

Last but not least I wanted to have some cool earrings – nothing elegant but still visible and not too tiny. I remembered the cool “Akasuna” ears from .:E.A.Studio:., which Shina released at the ACCESS event this month – they were just perfect! With the cool HUD it was relatively easy to match the skin tone (Color under Cursor is your best friend!).

When I was near the end with my styling, I had an IM from Shena Neox. she showed me one of her latest releases for the eBENTO event and it was something that perfectly made the finish for my style. I showed her a gyazo of my look and we agreed that it must have been fate, that we talked in that very moment and she sent me the amazing “”Ambross Slave Collar” in black. Shena began with a shape store first bit lately she started to release mesh accessories – I have to admit I love them 😉 After styling for hours I had no desire to run around for a perfect location, nor I was in the mood to built a set. I recently changed the deco on our store parcel and it made a perfect location, I only did need a bike. I swear I thought I have one in my inventory.. with over 200K inventory, I really thought I have a motorbike somewhere, but I only found a modern, plastic looking one and that was not what I did imagine –  the only thing I found was a Vespa and that looked kinda odd with the style *giggles* After another couple of hours I found a bike at MotoDesign that I liked – Ready to go! I hope you like the results 🙂

Like I did mention in my last post, the “World of Magic” event sadly is over, but I still want to post all those amazing things – it gives me the feeling it would still going on :p . I am sure you will find all of the creations at the main stores of all brands by now.

This time I have the whole scene built out of designs of the event and for the clothing I as well only used items from the “World of Magic” except the shoes.

I love Trouble Dethly’s events, he always picks interesting themes and does invest a huge effort in the sims and event places and builds. What I do love as well are his ‘Fashion Theaters”. To me that is the future of fashion shows in Second Life, as most of the main grind users are sick and tired of boring runway shows. Every thing has its time and realistic, real life like looking fashion shows had their time in the past. When they were new, many people went there and the audience was more than just 10 to 15 models and designers. I remember times, when we had to cap sims at 45 people, to make sure shows could run smoothly, or we even had to have 2 different sims beside each other – one for the audience and one for the models. Those times are gone. I really think there were too  many of those shows in a short time. Certainly there are a few agencies left who still try to do shows, but designers as well found a different way for marketing with all the monthly events. I would not choose one over the other, both ways have/had their advantages and times.

The “Fashion Theater” that Trouble more or less invented in Second Life, combines fashion shows and theater. Usually we have different scenes like in a real theater, and in the beginning of each scene the credits getting read out before the actual scene starts. So it is as well informative about fashion, designers get highlighted and used decor gets it’s spotlight, but at the same time it is entertaining with the story itself. Even as a model – I do have to admit – it is a lot of fun as you prepare different, it is a new challenge. You style up like you would do for a normal fashion show, but with posing you have to be way more creative and it is way more work intense to find the right poses, or even short animations, for the story that is going on, as your character has certain “tasks” to implement in terms of acting what the story determines.

Thereafter was the first Fashion Theater I did and it was a huge success. Back then we did a post apocalyptic version of the ‘Taming of the Shrew”. The story was adapted to the different genre and lightly changed, but the essence was the same. The last one we did was “The Tale of the Three Brothers”, an adaption or a tribute to the wizarding fairytale told to young witches and wizards in the world set by JK Rowling. Within canon, it is believed to have been written by Beedle the Bard and published as part of his works called “The Tales of Beedle the Bard.” Most believe it to be a story that teaches children the virtue of humility and wisdom. Others, feel that it is in reference to the Deathly Hallows. For the Potter fans, the concept made it’s debut in the seventh book and are considered three highly powerful magical artefacts.This time we had a very small cast, but we had tons of fun.

I would like to thank Silly Avro, Luka Benton, Sungyoung Holloway, Redclaw Inshan and Trouble Dethly for an amazing time, lot of fun rehearsals and 3 wonderful evenings of acting. Trouble had the most work since he wrote the whole thing and had to coordinate our chaos troupe and he did a hell of a job with that.

I can’t wait for the next one and I do not want to tell too much yet but… I have a feeling it will have to do something with doing a tribute to GoT and I will keep my fingers crossed to be casted as the Dragon Lady!
