Today I was in a weird mood and just styled away. I started with the “Mesh Tube Dress” with the huge fluffy neck part, because I anyways was sorting my GizzA folder and I fell into my hands. I thought about a concept or an idea for the rest of the look and there was noting in my head at all, so I kept searching through my inventory and tried various things. Then I came across the new hat, that I got from Xenobia Foxclaw. She told me she will have a show in the beginning of June, where all her new hats get released. When I tried the “Jones Black” hat I was sure that this will be part of my look. Now the head gave me some direction in which way it could go. The hat turned the dress into a cool look for me, so I tried to find some leggings and overknee boots. The “Cat tights” from LeeZu were my choice and the light grey color went perfectly to repeat the light color of the dress. Together with the “Piccadilly Overknee Boots” from LeeZu it really turned into some cool and young look. I remembered my “Fame Shades” from epoque. I had them for such a long time and did not use them for so long… that will be the time to change it 😉

Now I would like to drag your attention on the scenery. The house that I used for the background was made by 22769. It is a wonderful and as well very modern house. It has one huge room so enough room to built a wonderful hideout for yourself. The walls are mostly glass with a your structure and shape that gives you the feeling, you own an artistic and unique home. The house has 2 doors, one front door that you reach over a few steps and a backdoor that leads you out on an amazing terrace. The terrace has a wooden ground and some sand parts that remind you on those Zen sand places with those stones. The terrace as well has stairs so you can reach the ground again, since the house it self is built on columns. The grey, black & white colors made a perfect match and background for my today’s look 😉

The Runway Perfect Hunt #4 – Part 11

The Runway Perfect Hunt goes in it’s 4th round . Morgane Batista again made it, to get amazing designers to participate in one of the most famous hunts on the grid. Even if the title says “The hunt with models in mind” does not mean this hunt is limited to models only. All the amazing and versatile designs are amazing additions to everybody’s wardrobe, even the males will find some amazing hunt prizes in some locations This year the hunt is not a total freebie hunt, each hunt item costs $5 Linden. With a total of 50 shops you reach a maximum of $250 Linden, what is a great amount for so many amazing quality designs!

Till Friday TRPH #4 does last, then all the amazing items will be gone… So I will use the chance for my final post about this amazing hunt.

My final styling is based on the amazing contribution of Ezura to the Runway Perfect Hunt. Ezura made the beautiful “Velvet Long Gown” in dark brocade green. The basic dress is mesh made and you have a wonderful optional flexible skirt attachment as well. For this post, I decided to go without to show the basic mesh prim a bit better, basically you get 2 gowns in one 😉 The shoulder free gown is perfect for a formal or elegant attire. With the free shoulders it lets room for amazing jewelry.

Speaking of jewelry, I would like to drag your attention over to the earrings. Pure Poison made a wonderful pair of earrings for the hunt. The silver earrings with the black gems made a perfect accessory for the “Velvet Long Gown”.

For the hair I decided to go with the “Chevia” hair from EMO-tions to underline the elegant look of the styling.

The Runway Perfect Hunt #4 – Part 10

After being absent because of RL, I would like to show some more of the wonderful Runway Perfect Hunt items before the hunt is over.

Prism made a wonderful summer dress for the Runway Perfect Hunt. The beautiful “Charmie” dress is perfect for the summer. A short dress with an amazing high belt, and a super stylish neck collar. The smooth colors from white to light blue underline the awesome summer feeling of this dress. Again it was Xenobia Foxclaw, who made that amazing hat. I know this must look strange, as I use her hats lately a lot, but she simply has so many amazing hats in unusual colors and so many different shapes that I really fell in love with them. The “Fort Sill Feodora” hat that I used for this post, is a band new one that not even is released yet. Xen made them for a special show in the beginning of June, but I was allowed to have a few already and do some sneak previews 😉 The shoes I was wearing a lot too in the last few weeks and never lost a word about them. The “Dare” shoes from the Diktator Shop. Diktator has some amazing new shoes, the break out of the usual styles that I can see all over the grid and so I had to have them for sure 😉 A girl can never have enough shoes and especially not enough high heels 😉 If you bite your tongue and buy the not really cheap fatpack you get a HUD that allows you to match the skin, tint your nails and even the shoes itself in many different colors and as well color combination, so I would dare to say the prize is worth it… but like I said I am a shoes addicted so I might be not really unbiased…

The beautiful casual jewelry comes from a german jewelry designer, that I was allowed to wear for a show last week – Vincenca Rosca. The “Sleeping Beauty” set comes with a HUD, where you can change the leather, medal and as well the gems. In the beginning i had a few problems as the HUD was not that easy but after I made the effort to read the included NC… yes I am impatient and usually I never read manuals… it was no problem to recolor and customize the “Sleeping Beauty” set until it matched the “Charmie” dress.

There is only a few days left to do the TRPH #4 and then all those amazing goodies will be gone. So hurry if you wanna go for this amazing dress and all the other incredible goodies of this hunt 🙂

“College girl is on vacation” Mood…

Lately I was talking to Jezzixa Cazalet, who works for Prism since I can think of. After some other stuff, she told me very excited that she made her first own outfit and released it at Prism. Jezzixa was doing tutorials about seamless textures and in that process she started to make her own outfit to as well use them. Her first one was the “Diane Floral Dress” dress. A wonderful short mesh dress with matching shoes. The amazing spring pattern is available in different colors. I could not resist to mix and match around again so the shoes got lost in the process and I hope Jezzixa will not cut off my head for skipping the flat spring ballerinas 😉 Instead I used the “Studded Long Boots” from J’s. I have no clue why but I all of a sudden was in a “College girl is on vacation” mood and the idea of a girl that explores the world came to my mind. For sure you cannot explore the world in just a short dress.. what if you crouch or sit down in a non ladylike way… so I added the “LaLun Tights” from LeeZu. What else is part of a good tourist… ah I needed a bag for maybe some souvenirs and for sure a camera to bring back all the lovely moments I had during my trip 😉 Since it is springtime I wanted one of this huge floppy hats and some vintage sunglasses. For the glasses I fast found the right ones, the “Oversized Sunglasses” from Izzie’s. For the hat I was running around like crazy to find something that goes with the dress but I did not find the right color of the hat together with the right one for the headband. In the end I ran into Kyra Camels IM, owner and designer of Baboom, because she had this amazing floppy hat for the TRPH #4. She told me to come over that she can see the styling and the colors and immediately started to make me that matching hat to my outfit 🙂

Sightsavers – Baboom

This is a RL charity that works in some of the worlds poorest countries helping to save men, women and children from blindness.

Specifically, we wish to support their work in battling a disease called trachoma. This is caused by a bacterial infection spread by unwashed hands and certain species of flies. Infection causes scarring of the eyelid, repeated infection causes the eyelid to turn inwards and the eyelashes to scrape against the cornea damaging it.

Years of repeated infections of trachoma cause trichiasis, when the eyelid turns inwards and the eyelashes rub on the eyeball, causing scarring of the cornea, constant irritation and terrible pain. In their desperation, many people pull out the in-turned eyelashes with a pair of tweezers. But the eyelashes always grow back, even stronger than before – bringing worse pain. Until slowly, they go blind.

The additional tragedy is that trachoma is such an easy disease to prevent. Trachoma can be treated in it’s early stages with antibiotics to clear-up the infection. Antibiotic treatment can be provided for less than $1.00 US dollar.

Once people have trichiasis, surgery is needed to turn the eyelashes away from the eye, reducing the pain and preventing the scarring of the cornea. Just $5.00 US dollars can fund a trichiasis operation.

Kim Rongyu, the CEO of this charity event, has lived in some of the countries where this awful disease exists, Through her RL experience, she knows how damaging this is and as a RL scientist, how easy it is to prevent. We are reaching out to the amazing talents of Second Life, creators and designers, to ask if you would like to join us for this cause, to raise funds to be donated to Sightsavers organization.

Today I would like to spotlight the contibution of Baboom for the Sightsavers event in Second Life.

Kyra Camel, owner and designer of Baboom, made a stunning dress in 3 colors to support the Sightsavers event. For today’s post I decided to wear the green version of the “Flora” mesh dress. The dress is a long tight shaped dress with an amazing shoulder free top end. The mesh prim moves smoothly with every animation and the wonderful light ornaments on the light green it is a wonderful spring dream dress. 100% of the “Flora” dress, anyways which of the 3 amazing colors goes to the Sightsavers charity. Thanks a lot Kyra for those amazing designs!

Crazy Connection: The question that matters

The question that matters.

Sirena was a young woman leading a carefree life. She had a good job, no worries and the men courted her, though she did not really care for them. All in all, she did not really care for anyone but herself, using the same excuses we all tend to use. “That is none if my business.” “What can I do about it?” or “I don’t want to interfere.”

She lived close to the graveyard and when the weather was fine, she took a shortcut there from the bus home. One evening, she saw a woman on a bench, crying bitter tears. The woman looked at her, but Serena quickly looked away. When she was about to leave the graveyard an old witch – by the looks of her – stepped into Serena’s way and asked straight away “Why didn’t you ask the woman why she cried?” Serena was a little scared and mumbled, I thought she was mourning, this is a graveyard after all. What can I do about her grief?”

The old witch looked at her sadly and shook her head. “Dear girl, you need a lesson in compassion. I hex you not to be able to leave the graveyard until someone shows you the sympathy you denied that woman.”

Serena did not know if to laugh or to be scared, the old woman had disappeared as sudden as she showed up. Serena headed for the exit but ran into an invisible wall. She tried to get out at another spot, but to no avail.

Whenever she tried to talk to someone, they ignored her. After a while the place took its tribute, her eyes burnt out from crying over her own sad fate, her nails grew into claws, in short, she became a fearful sight. People started to run away from her thinking her a demon of some sort.

One day, when she was sitting numbly on a gravestone mulling over her fate and feeling the pain of being ignored, she finally learned her lesson. For the first time, she did not cry out of self-pity, but for shame and pity for all the people she had ignored all her life.

Suddenly she heard a warm male voice behind her. “Excuse me, can I do anything for you?” She felt the curse break and when she turned round she saw a man, just like herself smiling at her. “I think you can go home now.” He said.

Wicca’s Wardrobe: LOTD 12/26/2012 – Asian Touch

One of LeeZu‘s latest releases is a wonderful mesh combination of a dress and boots and as well the popular “Nif Nif” gloves are now available in mesh.

The new “Kaya Gown” is a wonderful mixture of a long and short dress to the same time. For the left leg you have a huge slit that shows off the whole sexy leg and on the right side the skirt goes down to the ankle.

The “Kaya Gown” comes in many different colors and I chose the black version for this post, because I liked the combination of black, red and the golden ornaments so much. The super sexy overknee boots repeat the golden ornaments on the leg and as well at the heels!

The inner of the skit brings back the red color that we see under the chest. Even the upper end of the boots carry the same color and little buckle that we saw on the gown under the chest. The “Nif Nif” gloves make a wonderful shape for the hands. The option to have hands and feet made with mesh adds a lot mor possibilities for the creators and as well makes them so much more realistic 🙂 To finish my asian touch idea, I chose the “Warrior” hair from epoque with the 2 crossed sticks behind the bun. The huge necklace from Swallowtail I have for a very long time and by searching for an appropriate one it fell into my hands again 😉
