Sometimes you meet people and after a short while you get the feeling you know them since forever…

While I was styling I showed the style to Vivien and she seemed to like it so I asked her if she would not want do join in the picture. In seconds she had a matching style and we started to have fun quite a while. I already had done my pose and it was awesome to see how fast she arranged herself around and between me to make her fit into the scene. I anyway love her creativity when it comes to making poses. My head is always so stuffed, that I rarely be able to really make my own poses. But since I saw her working, Í found my way slowly back into that, too – and I really enjoy it again – nevertheless I always love when Vivian does her magic and so for the closeup I again could not resist to ask her, if she would like to make a pose again and she did another kick ass, cool one 😉

I have a feeling that won’t be our last collaboration, since we seem a pretty productive and creative team for that – plus, I hae to admit I immensely enjoy the time working with her. We have so much fun and it is a complete different journey that just doing pictures on my own. It does trigger other parts of my creativity and it as well challenges me to break my usual Photoshop routine, having a second person with a complete different skin and shape as my normal workflow and techniques apply differently on her avatar 🙂

The Arden Eyepatch, by Wicca’s Originals, is here for when you need a semi-permanent solution to a lost eye. However you gained that injury is in the past, and is your secret to keep. While there are many options of flimsy patches you can strap to your head, the Arden Eyepatch is unique in anchoring to your face along the brow and cheekbone with a series of small metal studs. For the current issue of the Eclipse Magazine, again I was allowed to showcase a role play genre. My choice this time was Vampires. I wanted to cover the more traditional and vintage side of it as well as the modern one.

For the more traditional, Victorian one I had the great pleasure, to get some company from Vivien Delancoure. It is always fun to do picture with friends, but usually I just do not dare to ask, as sometimes I take ages until I have my final pose, shot and background. I hate to waste others peoples time. With Vivien it was different. She is a blogger as well, making wonderful pictures and creates most of her poses by herself – Just take a look at her Flickr HERE. So she knows how long it can take and that made me brave enough to ask her, if she would like to join me for a picture. Her style is usually goth-romantic or dark romantic, which already was perfect for what I was going for. She was so sweet and patient and made the whole shoot to a lot of fun combined with a lovely chitchat 😉 I have a feeling, that this will be not our last shoot together as it really was awesome to work with her.

Wicca’s Originals @ SATURNALIA: A Winter Solstice & Yule Market // December 17th – January 1st

For some, witchcraft isn’t just for Halloween. And for those individuals, the Sarya necklace by Wicca’s Originals has been carefully crafted. At the center of this piece is a brooch holding a sizable gemstone, held by a set of three chains, to remind the wearer of the rule of three. The gem is held in a fitting framed on either side by the waxing and waning moons, designed in the style of the Triple Goddess. Finally, hanging from this gemstone by a pair of chains is a pentacle, granting the wearer a sense of comfort in the protection it offers in its representation of the five elements. The gem comes in ten variations, as do the metals of the chains. This necklace comes rigged for Maitreya, Legacy, Hourglass, and Freya bodies, as well as an unrigged variation you can modify to fit as needed. Blessed be.

Virtual Insanity?

When you think about your life as a path, it never seems to be a straight and smooth one. You have junctions, where you have to decide which way to go. You will face bumpy and rocky sections. You might even dead-end streets, which first looked completely right and all of a sudden you realize it won’t let you go further than a certain point. You might find ways, that feel as they would go to nowhere – some really do some just take a long walk until you can see where they lead to. Some might request major changes and decisions and some just need next to nothing to decide the change.

I am at one of those junctions, maybe even one of the dead-end ones in RL and SL. While it is a little more complicated in RL, in SL I just need to get my mind straight and think about what I really want for my free time activity called Second Life. I – and I only can talk about myself and my personal feelings – do not need a Second Life that dictates my schedule, gives me pressure time wise, forces me to decide on things I do not feel I want to, or to follow something I am not 100% behind anymore. Certainly I feel responsible about schedules and appointments, I always tried to be accurate, on time and well prepared what ever it was, but sometimes the thought of “Do I really need that?” sneaked into my mind and I was more careful the next time I committed to something. But what about things that you thought they would totally suit you and you would enjoy them – what you maybe even did for a while – and then they change? Maybe the fun fades or they take direction to something completely different than what you expected or pictured? I have a hard time lettings things go I had fun with for along time, especially if friendship is involved. It is always harder – at least for me – to leave something, if you have built a friendship with some of the people. Sometimes friendships break as certain people will take your decisions personally, even if they are not meant to be like that. On the other hand if you go on with it, you might risk the friendship as well as you are constantly unhappy and even if you try to hide it, it most likely will be felt by other people, especially if it is friends. Often it is a tightrope walking and you have to think very carefully how you decide.

That sometimes can lead to a “Virtual Insanity”, which inspired me for todays post and pictures.

The damn cool straight jacket was made by CerberusXing for the Warehouse Sales event. It comes in a clean and bloody version and due the BoM Alpha layer you can wear it with different mesh bodies. The cute, pierced horns as well were made by CerberusXing for the Anthem event. My mega awesome piercing I found at Kinky made my .:E.A.Studio:. It is a huge gacha with many different parts, while the piercing is one of the rares you will find a lot of cool earrings as well. To snap my pictures with that kinda crazy, insane look, what could be better than the Rosewood Hills Asylum made by DRD. It is a huge gacha with 49 collectables items and they make in total over 150 separate decorative items!  The gacha set was parted into 2 machines, one focusing more on the medical interior and the other on the office interior. I just can say both totally worth to collect if you want an overall awesome Asylum! The Jaimie Boots by Wicca’s Originals are the latest in fetish wear. Long, smooth, sleek latex hugs every curve, from your toe all the way up to high on the thigh. The material is decorated with a colored stripe, sporting metal studs along the outer side of the boot. The most prominent feature is the series of spikes adorning the front of the boot, from the top of the thigh down to the thick toe of the boot. It tells everyone that the wearer can and will hurt you, if you deserve it.. or beg for it. The Jaimie Boots also sport a unique take on the heel itself, touching ground with a trident design of three points. This design exudes power and the promise of something wicked, and is sure to quicken the pulse of anyone who has the pleasure of having that trident heel dig into their chest. The boots come in 10 color patterns and metal color options for the studs, for the Maitreya, Legacy, Freya, and Hourglass bodies.
