“Dark Swan” or “Do we ever have enough pumps?”

Today I am very happy to showcase the amazing new “Cassie” pumps from [Gos]. Who can say no to such an amazing sexy, pointed toe pump with that kind of high blade heel? We all know women can never have enough heels so lets take a look on the newest release from [Gos] for November round of FaMESHed.

[Gos] always was one of my favourite designers in SL and for this month they have some really exciting changes and news. The HUDs have been updated and from now on you do not have any words in a menu, you get a HUD that has little colored squares and so you just have to click on those to customize your shoe to your style and favor.

With the new “Cassie” pumps you have 3 different HUDs available in your pack. The Boutique, the Blueberry and the Metallics HUD. The Blueberry HUD will be a new addition for future releases, so you can coordinate your amazing Blueberry clothing perfect with your incredible [Gos] shoes 🙂

Each HUD has a different number of colors on it as well as options for the sole, metals and lining. I only snapped a few colors to still make the full beauty of the show visible but as you can see there is a wide color range and you won’t hardly find any color where you cannot find a match in your “Cassie” HUDs.

Now I would just take a closer look on the rest of my look for today. To not over accessorize the shoes I decided to go for some body tight clothing. the lingerie I got longer ago from Apple May.  I loved the high-waisted panties and the look of the completely covering bra. The “Tigress” set are 2 appliers, which can be used on Slink and omega compatible bodies. For the harness I found the cool “Black Bird” harness from PurpleMoon. It just perfectly went with my lingerie and I loved the little wings in the back. To pimp the bra a little bit I added the “Skeleton Clamps” from Salt & Pepper which are a hunt gift for the ‘Once upon a Nightmare’ hunt. They are meant to be worn without any bra but I loved the look so much on it 😉 The more I styled the more a dark swan grew in my head.

Exactly that is what todays post is about… I wanted to have fun 😉

When I put on the “Callie” outfit from Gizza I did instantly know, that I want to do a fun picture with it. In Germany we have a warm weather come back these days with lots of sun. Temperature climbed up as well and so I was in a sunny late summer mood when I styled my look.

I am not a girly style person usually, but today I just got me and I added some more pink and color to the “Callie” ensemble. The amazing “Kam” eye shadow from Slackgirl encouraged me even more for that 😉

For the nails I certainly had to go over the top as well and used the fantastic “Signal Stiletto” bento nails for Maitreya, as well made by Slackgirl. Teal and pink – normally I only use that combination for cyber looks with lots of black *giggles*

The amazing bento rings with the huge gems are made by MEVA and I am totally in love with them. For modern statement jewelry the “Victorian Bento Rings” are just perfect with their huge color HUD and you can even hide some of the rings if you like.

Typically for me, if I wear tattoos, I mostly wear black & grey ones, but the “Anchored Love” arm tattoo with its bold colorful design, just matched the look so perfect, I could not resist 😉

Like I said before.. today was only enjoying some free time and so I just went to Anduril for some snaps and enjoyed playing with windlights. Sometimes you have no reason, no special blogging duty and no idea what the outcome will be and just have fun!

End of Summer

End of summer… the days getting shorter and colder, fog is on the fields on the morning and we get more and more rainy days in Germany.

Enough reason for having one last sweet summer post 🙂

This time it is something special as India and me found a matching dress from Tiptoes. It was at one of the Gimme Gacha gacha events and it looked so sweet – ok I admit it was India looking at me with sparkling eyes asking if we could do a partner pic with those dresses 😉 Usually we both are not much of dress girl, but I guess she just loved the idea of having the same dress for both of us 😉

We had a lot of fun doing the pics and play with the amazing props from Lil’Bug. The “Daisy” gacha set contains 8 common poses and 2 rares. For the post we used the common ones since the rares are couple poses which did not really match for our idea.

The Darkness Inside

I did think a long time about a title for this post and pictures and after a conversation with a dear, sweet friend today, I suddenly had the idea – “The dark beast inside of me sometimes needs some release”

We all know that feeling I guess. You often just try to be polite and kind even if you feel that the inner beast tries to break free. In my life I learned that his beast has two different sides. It is very emotional and hot-headed on one side and sometimes it can be very dark ironic and sarcastic on the other. That is why I learned to control it and keep it locked in chains inside of me.

Certainly I was told to not always swallow all my emotions and everything that I get told, but the same time there is way how you can express this in a polite and adult way.

The most difficult it gets when you feel hurt. Because then this beast inside just rambles and rattles with the chains, developing immense power so that I sometimes really be afraid it would break that chains and just break free.

But exactly those situations taught me the most. When I was able to still keep it inside, it felt as a success to not let it win over me just because of someones judgement, rumors, gossips or words.

Every time I was able to keep it locked away, I felt that I did grow stronger. It was a long process and it took me years and sadly it is still not perfectly locked. But maybe it does not have to be, because everything has an end as well and so does patience, understanding and politeness. Sometimes people really need to know when they overstepped a line or did hurt me even if they will not believe nor change their behaviour – most of the time because they can’t as they have nothing in their life than trying to make others miserable. Then you do not even need to argue with those, because you can’t win. Anyways what you will say to prove them wrong they will turn it around and again use it against you no matter what. So all you can do is let it go, turn around and move on.

If you move on, you will meet new people in the future who will treat you with more respect and in an adult way. Certainly not only those, but all the others will wait for you left and right as well and maybe it is the personal challenge of everyone’s life to pass those who do not matter to meet those who DO matter – if that makes any sense. That does not mean you should not take any critiques, but you can learn to decide between the good and the bad critique. The bad, that only was used to hurt, blame or accuse you without any content OR the one that sometimes hurts too a bit – because you might have seen it different – but that as well contains facts and things that let you learn and grow from.

In the end you are the one, that has to make the decisions in your life – nobody can do or should do that for – as long as you can.

For me it feels better to have a mainly positive life (all of us have bad days or experiences) instead of a hate filled, jealous and not satisfied one. I always ask myself – before I react on things – if it would be worth fighting or arguing about something, or just smile and say thank you, turn around and move on. Both cases did happen and both will happen in the future, but if I argue or discuss I try to stay with the facts, be polite and kind and as well stay adult and not just release the inner beast without thinking. If that happens, I exactly would do that, what I do not want be done to myself – hurt, accuse or become personal and unobjective – and that is not an option to me if I can control it. I have to admit, over the years I became way more calm in such situations and maybe it is the age that lets you think before you take any action 😉

Beware! – You never know who’s around…

Today I tried to do a different picture, but if you caught up in a theme, nothing else just wants to work… So we are back to the post apocalyptic style and probably have even one more over the next days. On 27th Thereafter closes and hopefully my mind can wrap around something else then at least for a while 😉

Today I built a little set on my own as I wanted to showcase some more of the amazing landscaping items, accessories, clothing and poses, that were made for the Thereafter event.

Today I would like to start with the poses. The whole set – including the pistols – was made as an exclusive release for Thereafter by Gingerfish Poses. The set is called “One Shot” set and to me they are perfectly matching the theme. I really do love the movement and action they have to it, a very strong attitude. You can use them for so many different angles and I am sure they would work without pistols and for a nother theme as well. All the poses are so well made I did not have to adjust my shape nor anything else and could use them right as they came. That is kinda rare, as I am usually to tall for most of the poses and have to adjust my normal shape a lot to make it fit the poses. Certainly the whole set is bento compatible if you already own bento hands. In my case it was the Maitreya hands and they worked perfectly with the poses.

The cool dress, which I totally fell in love with when I saw it the first time was designed by !go!. The “Zulu” dress comes in many different colors and with all the amazing details it is a little art piece itself. It is very well rigged as well, even with the poses, that really have some action to it did not break at all. Theis dress is definitely a must have if you like post apocapytic styles 🙂

On all four pictures, I mainly used items for my set, which are made exclusively for the Thereafter event and I will credit them all in the end so I do not confuse the hell out of you and make you going back and forth between the pictures.

With a closer look to my face you will see that wonderful forehead ornament. I used it in black but Cureless [+] has many more colors included in the HUD of the “Leonius Marking”. Combine with the “Apocalypse Paint” is an amazing makeup applier from Veechi. You have 4 different options of that amazing face-art on the applier HUD.

So many exclusives, that fell together to one style.. it is just awesome. The cool gas mask as well you can find on the Thereafter event from Cubic Cherry. It as well comes with a texture HUD and resizer so you can make it fit either to your system head or various mesh heads as well.

What as well jumped to my eyes was the amazing “Myla” hair from Mina. I anyways love shaved hairstyles but that one even comes with 2 versions of hairbases and the one with the cut lines i loved the most (On the fist picture you can see it very clear).

Even the earring, which sadly is covered by the shadow in the picture above is for sale at the event as a full set. The “Noxx” set contains earrings and a collar plus a neat HUD that lets you color the whole set in various gold and silver combinations.

Blinded by the Light

First there was a short, glaring light and then a long following darkness…

Today I again will showcase some of the amazing designs of the Thereafter event, but this time in a slightly different way. I really do love the post apocalyptic scenarios with all the trash and chaos, the dirt and the abandoned cities. But this time when I put on the cool wrap from Bauhaus and added the amazing “Andromeda” makeup made by Slackgirl, I had a totally different vision.

If you saw a short harsh light followed by a huge explosion and then all around you became dark and silent… and then you figure it is not night, you do not see any contours, outlines of shadows as you used to at night?

With that vision I went on styling and put in the amazing top from Vinyl, as well an exclusive for Thereafter and the collar from Noir. The first vision of my idea for today slowly fell together.

The more I played with it, the more the vision again changed and since I have some fantasy moments as well, those influences added up to my original first vision. Probably it did not help that I was watching ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ while I was editing my pictures :p

 

The evil Necromonger and the white lady that helped Riddick kinda inspired me to the idea of a magician walker, that roam around through the nights of a post apocalyptic environment. And who can say that a nuclear apocalypse with all the energy that gets set free does not change a human being and the skills and abilities 😉

Certainly the kick ass “Wasteland Reaper” from CerberusXing could not miss for that kind of style 😉 I always admired the work of [CX]. The ideas, the amazing details and the love of realistic creations of metals, chains, spikes and leather always fascinated me.

I did not want to use a busy background, as it felt wrong for my kind of idea and so I just played around with windlights until I found that amazing blue/green sky with a light blue-ish moonlight falling down on my body. After fiddling a bit with it and tweak it hee and there, it really got the feelings that I had for this pictures. Sometimes I really do love simple surroundings as they can look so very dramatic and thrilling even if you just use lights and shadows.

That was not the first time that the original idea turned while I put my style together, but to be honest I enjoy those moments when your vision turns around and it goes in a different direction as you planned on it.

Since we have 5 more days (only 🙁 )for the Thereafter event, that probably is not my last post apocalyptic post, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 😉

When I unpacked the “Posh Body Suit” from GizzA, which is sold at the actual round of Tres Chic, I immediately had the feeling of a dreamy angel and some fantasy ideas.

The outfit comes with the amazing body suit, the leg jewelry and the wings. You can purchase many different colors and I decided to go with the stone color, as it worked best with the windlight I was using, plus I planned the gold/copper look and for that it did reflect the lights best for that purpose. You get a 3 HUDs as well that allows you to change the gems of the Bodysuit, the leg and the head gemstones to 9 different colors.

I wanted some very filigree, delicate shoes for the look to not overpower the dreamy, light feeling of the outfit. I tried a few and in the end I chose the “Camilla” heels from Glamistry. With all the laces and as well the high platform they just looked perfect to the whole look.

For the set, I used the I used the “Golden Moon”, a rare item from the Golden Dreams gacha of Yokai. It has some poses in-built, but I went with my own, because I already had a special idea how I wanted to pose 😉 The moon comes with cute little particle stars, which fall down from the top.

The amazing golden particles and the delicate golden leafs do come from E.V.E Studio. I love to use Noke’s awesome creations for my sets as they always add something dreamy or artistic to them 😉

I do not wanna miss a close up for the makeup and the stunning hand piercings.

The exquisite eyeshadow was made by Slackgirl. I love the smooth shadow, the delicate little dotted ornaments upper the eyelid and the smokey, smooth gradient down to a solid color. The “ColrUs Shadow” HUD comes with 8 colors, available for Catwa, Akeruka and as Omega applier.

The stunning hand jewelry was made by Mea Carnell, owner and designer of MEVA. To be precise, it is not just normal hand jewelry… even better they are piercings! How cool is that?!

Everyone can wear rings and bracelets but who dares to have piercings in their hands 😉 ? I do! :p The “Bento Hand Rings” are made for Maitreya bento hands and they are rigged so perfectly. It is great to have a creative alternative to rings only, especially if you look for something etxra ordinary.

The cool bronze lipstick, which completed my makeup perfectly, was made by Zibska. It is included in the “Leyla” lipstick palette with 29 other amazing colors.

I do not often have dreamy angel moments but I quite enjoy it right now 😉 Lets see, if I can make some falling stars so you can have some wishes ♥

Black & White – Pose Studies with Bauhaus Movement

I was in a Black& White mood again and with the amazing outfit from Moon Elixir, called “Gothique” it was easy to go with those colors. The “Gothique” outfit is a huge gacha set with 22 commons and 2 rares. There is many different versions you can wear, with all the parts being single like the harness is not connected to the pants or the body suit, or the top and the sleeves can be taken off as well.

Sometimes, I just have fu fooling around with poses, not for a special purpose just to practise about angles, crops and new views, or even just to see what you can work with shadows in several angles.

Lately I got a huge pack of poses from Bauhaus Movement, because I was searching ‘no standing’ poses. I realized that I have a lot of modeling poses, but not too many sitting, laying or crouching poses or editorial poses that allow to show a full body shot without having more background that me on my blog pictures.

It is hard if you just go with the general way of modeling poses and then try to make a blog picture that does not show like a million trees and flowers and your avatar gets swallowed by your surrounding especially if you go to a non square format for your pictures. I do like the 4:3, or in general the wider then high proportions for my pictures and so I have to find some solutions for myself. And there is so many more options, that make pictures so much more cool with not just ‘standing and being pretty’ poses 😉 And cropping does help a lot with that but sometimes you just wanna see the whole avatar or at least 90% of it 😉

For those kind of pictures I like a plain simple set or background. When I just wanna play with poses, angles and crops I like it very simple to see the result of the shoots better. That’s why I just put some lamps from neigeux, a wall with a black texture and a frame.

The pack I got from Bauhaus Movement is called “Full Metal Panic” set and has 50 different poses – some even with variations. I really felt the whole pack as a great variety of poses for so many different purposes. Certainly I could not show all 50 of them but I found a few cool ones that worked with today’s outfit. In general I like to wear pants for such pose playing, because with skirts you are way more limited with poses because of the stretching and breaking the skirt or its texture.

Sometimes playing with poses without any special goal can be so much fun and usually I end up with way too many pictures and have a hard time choosing the ones I wanna use for my post :p But I hope you enjoy my selection as much as I did 🙂

Me and pastel colors… usually not the best match :p

But for today… I have no clue why… I was  in exactly that mood 😉

The cool background maybe was the initial fact that lead me towards the sweet colors. The amazing “Aloha” dress, which is available at the actual round of The Liaison Collaborative, supported that idea of a summer, sweet colors post with a light vintage touch :p

First I did not even plan on a vintage touch, but when I found the “Betty Babes Glasses” from Manik Queen, I could not resist to tweak my style towards a cute vintage one.. yes… I said.. CUTE!

The glasses have so many color options and as well are sold in 2 different styles. Blank, white dots and black dots – there is no style you cannot make them fit 😉

Now I would like to take a closer look at my hands. The fantastic rings are made by MEVA. I saw many Maitreya bento fitted rings lately but rarely some that rea so cool and detailed and as well more casual looking, so you can wear them as everyday accessory. With all the curves and decorations they are really a little art piece and outstanding from all the ones I saw before.

The rings are not just mirrored for left and right hand you actually have 2 totally different designs for each hand. you can wear the rings single for each finger or you can just use the full set at once… all options are included in the pack. As if that would not be already enough.. you as well can decide, if you would like the rings in silver or gold 🙂 MEVA released so many more amazing rings – I soon have to make a special about it but I so wanted to showcase the first set today 😉

Speaking of MEVA… did you realize those cool piercings at my collarbone and my cleavage^^? Mea Carnell, owner and designer of MEVA, made those for the actual round of Cosmo. They are a wonderful little styling accessories, that just give the little extra-ordinary look 😉

The wonderful nail polish again was made by Nailed It!, one of my favourite nail polish places. O loved the little opened zipper which gives the idea of very exclusive french nails 😉

The amazing lipstick certainly comes from Zibska, while the absolute stunning eyeshadow was made by Slackgirl 😉

And now I will use my short ‘cutsie’ time for a little bot of window shopping before the dark side again takes over *giggles*
