Dark, Moody and Powerful – Halloween!

I did my first monthly subscription!

I never really thought about all those subscription boxes before but when DRD announced they will have a monthly subscription box, I could not resist… I had to have it. Even if I already got my second box this month, I still wanted to do a dark, moody post with the items of the first one in September 😉

What I really do love about that box is, that you get one dark and one light version of all parts in the box. All the items from the September box I used for the decoration of today’s scenery – certainly the dark parts 😉

Talking about DRD, when I was doing the Ironwood Hills hunt I saw many of those items, used as decoration on the sim! Speaking about the Ironwood Hills hunt… that was one of the best hunts I lately did. It is not a usual hunt where you just run around ike crazy and try to find certain items.. way not. It was a very well made one, which was entertaining and exciting the same time. I anyways love the Ironwood Hills sim and did many pictures there for blog posts and magazines, but with that hunt it gets even more interesting and you will find corners that you did not realize before!

When you land you have to click th one sign at the barn where you get your hunt HUD along with a flash light. I highly recommend to use the windlight settings of the sim to have the full experience and for that the flash light is very useful and adds to the whole fun 🙂

The HUD itself already is an amazing idea. You get the impression of a cell phone where you constantly be in touch with the person that is asking you to do something. I do not want to tell yo too much of the story as it would take away all the surprise and you would not enjoy it as much. You have to find a person and the one who asks you to, provides you constantly hints and ideas where you could look for your next step. I really enjoyed that whole story behind that hunt. You have several steps to go and only one was a bit harder to find but all the others where not baby easy but doable if you really read the storyline and hints. When you complete all the tasks you will be able to TP via the home sign on your cellphone HUD to the little market where all the amazing sponsors have set out little gifts for you. It was over 20 amazing gifts from SL’s best designers.

Since I found out lately about inworld games in SL and tried several ones like Madpea or even the ones I found at the Linden Labs Portal location for games, the Ironwood Hills hunt was the one I enjoyed most. I was highly disappointed from the Madpea one, after it was hyped so much when the game “Seven” came out, that I lost some motivation to do such things again. But the Ironwood Hills hunt gave it back to me 🙂 The Ironwood Hills hunt is free to play, with amazing NPC characters that interact with you, so well scripted and you even get 24 amazing high quality gifts in the end!!!

I highly recommend the Ironwood Hills hunt to you if you love spooky, creepy, story based and exciting things 😉 The hunt is on from October 1st until November 5th 2017.

Now I would like to drag your view closer on my outfit for today’s post. The incredible “Blood Lust” gacha from Salt & Pepper. Originally the gacha was released for the Arcade event but you now can find it at he Salt & Pepper main store. The whole set contains 3 rares (collar, corset & garters, boots) and 20 commons (sleeves & skirts).

Anyways if rares or commons you always get a clean and a bloody version for each color. While the rares come with full color HUDs too, the commons are all on one color with their 2 versions, that I just explained.

Could you imagine a better outfit that the “Blood Lust” for Halloween? Sexy and dark immortal fantasies 😉 I am totally in love and enjoying the dark season a lot 🙂

This video, inspired me for today’s post. In the moment when I saw the amazing “Uh Oh Makeup” from Slackgirl.
We all know that – sometimes we desire to be something or someone else. Those moments when all those self-doubts devour you from the inside and you just wish to escape your own body or the situation that you are in. But would that really be worth it? It might seem easier on the first view but would you not miss your past, all the things that made you to what you are now? Would this new desire not make it even worse? Would this moment not come again some when – a new desire to again be someone or something else?
I do think those moments let us grow. Each time they happen and we work them through we gain experiences and as well come out of them even stronger.
Secondlife to me was such an escape in the past. When my RL turned upside down, Wicca was my refuge. I know how crazy that must sound, but others find their hide out in alcohol and drugs so for that amount of time where it was really bad, I am happy I had Wicca instead. I always was aware of, that it was a running from reality and I never believed SL could be any kind of reality than a virtual one. So I was well aware of what I did and did not lose myself in a virtual environment completely.
I know we all say, that we know Secondlife is a game and that we always can press the red “X” on the right upper corner. But if you are in SL for 10 years, your avatar and the people around you as well as the things you do become a part of you. Certainly I would not go around and tell my RL friends I am a model in SL and that would count anything towards my RL… if that makes sense. But I can tell about a game that I play and that I use it as my free time fun like others use other things – for example surfing on the internet, doing YouTube videos, doing handicrafts or what ever they enjoy in their free time, besides work and socializing in real life.
Nowadays I am not going to SL to escape anymore. My online times are way shorter as they used to be back then and sometimes I do not log in for days when I have RL appointments or wanna meet friends. The purpose of login in changed, but I still do have fun with Secondlife – just different.
I still enjoy to do things that I could not do in real life and as well I do enjoy designing a lot. To me designing is kinda the same as for others doing handicrafts maybe. Producing something and see how something grows under your fingers until you have a final product. The same applies to blogging and making pictures 😉
Secondlife can be an addiction, yes as you can easily lose yourself in it, but if you are aware of that, it can be a nice hideout with lots of fun and meeting amazing people – some even might become part of your real life out there 🙂
For me Secondlife never could replace my real – I do love my life now, but it is a nice way to live parts of your dreams and illusions 😉

Freak? – Beyond the Ordinary!

I got  wonderful present from my sister Daff – Those 2 awesome dragons!

The whole post and pictures turned out different from I first thought of it. Many times I was called freak and weirdo, but does that always have to be bad?

What does it mean to be a freak?

“In current usage, the word ‘freak’ is commonly used to refer to a person with something strikingly unusual about their appearance or behaviour.” does Wikipedia say.

If that just means different from the mainstream and as well a little crazy – I take the freak. Sadly to many ppl freak has some bad taste, probably because of the old sideshows, where people with genetic abnormality looks were showcased. That all usually was thought to scare people or as well to show them ‘creatures’ live among us. To me it is sad how some people react to such abnormal things, but probably that does belong to the fact, that many people being frightened by things they do never saw or do not know more about.

Maybe that as well applies to those who call me freak in a bitter and bad way. They are scared off things they did not see or do not understand, or they just have no fun in any life and have to make others miserable. For those I just feel pity. It must be horrible to wake up everyday and the only thing you can think off, is trash and bad mouth other people…

Those do not earn one minute of your thoughts, as their only intention is to make you feel sad. No word or argument can convince them to change their mind, because they are not looking for any serious facts 😉 Just don’t feed the troll and ignore them. Any word you will give them will be twisted and changed as long as it fits their own arguments – you can’t win, it is senseless and wasted time. You can use that time for so many other and more productive things 😉

I am not trying to be all different or force myself to not look ‘mainstream’ like. Sometimes it just happens when I style. I do not think about my styles too much. I just go and play with different accessories, clothing and makeup. Sometimes it does turn out freaky and sometimes not. For making pictures the more crazy looking ones are usually more interesting than just a sweet outfit on a random SL sim, but all have its right to exist and as well their certain purpose.

Secondlife to me is a place where you can express and do so many things that you either can’t do in RL OR that are just impossible by nature. We do not have dragons, or fantasy creatures and most of the time humans have no wings or hooves or what ever you can do in Secondlife.

I do enjoy the fantasy side a lot, as it gives you the room for creativity. I know some people enjoy the realistic side more and that is ok too. For me it always depends on my personal mood and emotions what I wanna go for when I start playing with my inventory.

To me Secondlife should have the freedom of doing what you enjoy no matter what as long as you do not hurt other people and their feelings. I do not want my Secondlife being a 100% mirror of my real life, because then there would be no reason to log in 😉 I love to experiment, to play Barbie with my pixels and dress them up to what ever I feel or want.

I was only playing around with them first, but the more I tested them the more I wanted to do something with them. The “Fierce Dragon Brother” are a gacha rare and they are animated! The move by themselves on default and in certain poses they even react to the movement. You need special bento poses, as the upper dragon uses the wing bones and the lower one reacts on the hind leg bones.

At 4Mesh I saw one of the new releases from Zibska. With the headpiece and the shoulder/chest part of the outfit, combined with the new “Fenris” dress from Moon Elixir, that I found at We♥RP it was the perfect outfit for the dragon brothers.

As much as I tried to make the whole style not be too dark – I guess Halloween is too close and I am way to excited for my favourite ‘season’ of the year – It became darker and darker with everything I added.

The dark “Lexa” eye makeup from IGOTIT and as well the “Blacktop” lipstick from Zibska just pulled it more into the darkness and so I gave in and just went with what it led to 😉

I loved the makeup, as it looks like a loosely painted black stripe over the eyes, lightly messy but as well somehow mysterious. The wonderful rings are bento enabled rings from MEVA. The “Victorian Bento Rings” come with a huge HUD. With the HUD you can hide single rings and as well can color all the gemstones separately. I really do like those options!

The sharp, long stiletto nails are made from Slackgirl. They do have a HUD as well and you can change the color of the nails AND as well the color of the little gems on the rings which are attached to them!

Enjoy YOUR Secondlife and do not let anyone tell you what you should do and what you should not. You are the one to make your desicions no matter what 🙂

Oktoberfest 2017 – My own View ;)

Tomorrow it will start again – The yearly Oktoberfest in Munich in Germany.

When I saw the last Monthly Midnight Madness gifts from Salt & Pepper, I did know I have to do something with it 😉

Since I am not the bigges fan of traditional Bavarian fashion or music, I had to think of a way how I can put my personal twist on it 😉

If you look at the modern Bavarian fashion trends you can see that young people modernized the traditional Dirndl and Lederhosen a lot. so why not take on that new and fresh thought of a modern Oktoberfest look.

I put on the “Lederhosen” from Salt & Pepper, and the the hard part came… what to add…

I did know I wanted a special hair style. Either some messy braids or some Rasta looking hair. Discord Designs is known for their dreads and braids and so I took a closer look on their creations and found the “Nita” hair. The style was just perfect for what I had in mind!

For the shoes, usually you have typical ‘Landhaus’ style shoes, if you go for the traditional look. But since I wanted to have something modern I wanted to have so thigh high boots. Those I found at Blueberry. During their last sale, I found the “Celia” boots. What really got me was, that you have 2 different styles in the pack. One flat and one high heel version. With the well known high quality of the Blueberry designs, I instantly fell in love with the detailed folds and textures 🙂

For those who know me… a tattoo can not miss 😉 The one I chose today, certainly comes from White Widow 😉 The “Desierto” tattoo was originally made for the Cosmopolitan event, but I am sure Julie has it at her main store by now. I loved the huge tiger head on the chest so much with the “Lederhosen”. It made a great contrast for the whole look.

Last but not least, the cool makeup and the super sharp stiletto nails were made by Slackgirl. I love the way how Slackgirl expresses her creativity and sense for art in her creations. She always surprises me with her release, which are so extraordinary and still so versatile. you can make so many different looks from glamorous or beauty to really artistic and different.

First I was looking for a Ferris Wheel or a Fair where I could take the pictures for today, but then I thought with that typical party look I would not really get what I wanted. I went home again and started to build up a set with the “Abandoned Playground” gacha from 22769. The more parts of that gacha I rezzed the more it looked like the idea I had before :p

In the end, I made it to complete my own vision for my Oktoberfest 2017 and I hope you like it 😉

Blinded by the Light

First there was a short, glaring light and then a long following darkness…

Today I again will showcase some of the amazing designs of the Thereafter event, but this time in a slightly different way. I really do love the post apocalyptic scenarios with all the trash and chaos, the dirt and the abandoned cities. But this time when I put on the cool wrap from Bauhaus and added the amazing “Andromeda” makeup made by Slackgirl, I had a totally different vision.

If you saw a short harsh light followed by a huge explosion and then all around you became dark and silent… and then you figure it is not night, you do not see any contours, outlines of shadows as you used to at night?

With that vision I went on styling and put in the amazing top from Vinyl, as well an exclusive for Thereafter and the collar from Noir. The first vision of my idea for today slowly fell together.

The more I played with it, the more the vision again changed and since I have some fantasy moments as well, those influences added up to my original first vision. Probably it did not help that I was watching ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ while I was editing my pictures :p

 

The evil Necromonger and the white lady that helped Riddick kinda inspired me to the idea of a magician walker, that roam around through the nights of a post apocalyptic environment. And who can say that a nuclear apocalypse with all the energy that gets set free does not change a human being and the skills and abilities 😉

Certainly the kick ass “Wasteland Reaper” from CerberusXing could not miss for that kind of style 😉 I always admired the work of [CX]. The ideas, the amazing details and the love of realistic creations of metals, chains, spikes and leather always fascinated me.

I did not want to use a busy background, as it felt wrong for my kind of idea and so I just played around with windlights until I found that amazing blue/green sky with a light blue-ish moonlight falling down on my body. After fiddling a bit with it and tweak it hee and there, it really got the feelings that I had for this pictures. Sometimes I really do love simple surroundings as they can look so very dramatic and thrilling even if you just use lights and shadows.

That was not the first time that the original idea turned while I put my style together, but to be honest I enjoy those moments when your vision turns around and it goes in a different direction as you planned on it.

Since we have 5 more days (only 🙁 )for the Thereafter event, that probably is not my last post apocalyptic post, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 😉

When I unpacked the “Posh Body Suit” from GizzA, which is sold at the actual round of Tres Chic, I immediately had the feeling of a dreamy angel and some fantasy ideas.

The outfit comes with the amazing body suit, the leg jewelry and the wings. You can purchase many different colors and I decided to go with the stone color, as it worked best with the windlight I was using, plus I planned the gold/copper look and for that it did reflect the lights best for that purpose. You get a 3 HUDs as well that allows you to change the gems of the Bodysuit, the leg and the head gemstones to 9 different colors.

I wanted some very filigree, delicate shoes for the look to not overpower the dreamy, light feeling of the outfit. I tried a few and in the end I chose the “Camilla” heels from Glamistry. With all the laces and as well the high platform they just looked perfect to the whole look.

For the set, I used the I used the “Golden Moon”, a rare item from the Golden Dreams gacha of Yokai. It has some poses in-built, but I went with my own, because I already had a special idea how I wanted to pose 😉 The moon comes with cute little particle stars, which fall down from the top.

The amazing golden particles and the delicate golden leafs do come from E.V.E Studio. I love to use Noke’s awesome creations for my sets as they always add something dreamy or artistic to them 😉

I do not wanna miss a close up for the makeup and the stunning hand piercings.

The exquisite eyeshadow was made by Slackgirl. I love the smooth shadow, the delicate little dotted ornaments upper the eyelid and the smokey, smooth gradient down to a solid color. The “ColrUs Shadow” HUD comes with 8 colors, available for Catwa, Akeruka and as Omega applier.

The stunning hand jewelry was made by Mea Carnell, owner and designer of MEVA. To be precise, it is not just normal hand jewelry… even better they are piercings! How cool is that?!

Everyone can wear rings and bracelets but who dares to have piercings in their hands 😉 ? I do! :p The “Bento Hand Rings” are made for Maitreya bento hands and they are rigged so perfectly. It is great to have a creative alternative to rings only, especially if you look for something etxra ordinary.

The cool bronze lipstick, which completed my makeup perfectly, was made by Zibska. It is included in the “Leyla” lipstick palette with 29 other amazing colors.

I do not often have dreamy angel moments but I quite enjoy it right now 😉 Lets see, if I can make some falling stars so you can have some wishes ♥

Pink and Cute???

Me and pastel colors… usually not the best match :p

But for today… I have no clue why… I was  in exactly that mood 😉

The cool background maybe was the initial fact that lead me towards the sweet colors. The amazing “Aloha” dress, which is available at the actual round of The Liaison Collaborative, supported that idea of a summer, sweet colors post with a light vintage touch :p

First I did not even plan on a vintage touch, but when I found the “Betty Babes Glasses” from Manik Queen, I could not resist to tweak my style towards a cute vintage one.. yes… I said.. CUTE!

The glasses have so many color options and as well are sold in 2 different styles. Blank, white dots and black dots – there is no style you cannot make them fit 😉

Now I would like to take a closer look at my hands. The fantastic rings are made by MEVA. I saw many Maitreya bento fitted rings lately but rarely some that rea so cool and detailed and as well more casual looking, so you can wear them as everyday accessory. With all the curves and decorations they are really a little art piece and outstanding from all the ones I saw before.

The rings are not just mirrored for left and right hand you actually have 2 totally different designs for each hand. you can wear the rings single for each finger or you can just use the full set at once… all options are included in the pack. As if that would not be already enough.. you as well can decide, if you would like the rings in silver or gold 🙂 MEVA released so many more amazing rings – I soon have to make a special about it but I so wanted to showcase the first set today 😉

Speaking of MEVA… did you realize those cool piercings at my collarbone and my cleavage^^? Mea Carnell, owner and designer of MEVA, made those for the actual round of Cosmo. They are a wonderful little styling accessories, that just give the little extra-ordinary look 😉

The wonderful nail polish again was made by Nailed It!, one of my favourite nail polish places. O loved the little opened zipper which gives the idea of very exclusive french nails 😉

The amazing lipstick certainly comes from Zibska, while the absolute stunning eyeshadow was made by Slackgirl 😉

And now I will use my short ‘cutsie’ time for a little bot of window shopping before the dark side again takes over *giggles*

Today I have an awesome gacha outfit from Salt & Pepper for you. The “Like a Prayer” gacha is available at the actual round of ROMP.

The gacha comes with so many different itmes and colors, I really had a hard time choosing the parts and colors for today’s look.

Usually a nun seems something well behaved and shiny, so I wanted to drag it over to something dark, since I am on a dark and scary mood at the moment*giggles*

I love how the habit moves with the poses and animations and with all the options you really can create looks from totally nice and proper to something uber sexy if you only use the harness for the body…

For the set, what else I could use as the “Abandoned Asylum” gacha from 22769. I do LOVE their creativity and love for the detail in all of their items. The gacha comes with so many different furniture and deco parts.. you can just decorate away with all of them and since they are usually modifiable, you can even reuse them in different sizes! The amazing spooky mannequins as well are a gacha but from Remarkable Oblivion. That was the most funniest gacha play I ever had. When I saw those mannequins on the Ironwood Hills sim, I instantly knew – I want them! So I went to the event where they were and was doing a happy dance when I saw they are all common items. Usually I am not a lucky person with gachas, that is one of the reasons I stopped playing most of the time. So I started to gamble aways after setting myself a limit and the first 3 pulls already all were 3 rares and I was like “What the hell??? Once I seriously want the commons – really???” No that I did not like the rares, they are amazing, but… seriously?!? – Just on a side note, I never ever was that lucky at any other gacha*laughs*

Thank god I found the missing mannequins for a reasonable price on marketplace, to complete my Spook Show :p

I do not wanna forget to mention, that all the amazing poses I used are from Poseidon.

I still have so many poses and props he made, that I would love to showcase, but that crazy genius guy seems to be on a release flood! Just kidding but it is really hard to follow up with the speed of his releases.. I sometimes really wonder if he ever sleeps*grins* But for this post they were just perfect again. Using his poses seems to me like getting a picture alive. They are so very well thought trough from the fingernails down to the toenails every limb does exactly what it has to, to create the perfect illusion of a movement in just one pose!

It was really great fun to do those pictures and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do 🙂

Red Poison!

I have no clue why but lately all the cyber and the vibrant colors to it, have an impact on me as never before.

Maybe it is the new hairstyles from EMO-tions that got me into it again, or as well the suspense between black and intensive deep hued, saturated colors.

Today – as I just said – the base of my styling was the amazing new hair from EMO-tions, which was available at the passed round of we ♥ RP, but it should be available in the EMO-tions main store by now.

I could not resist to make one picture with the newest feature from LeLutka for their bento heads. Finally we can stick out our tongues with LeLutka as well and even if I might not have that chance too often, I totally love it :p

LeLutka released a few more new expressions on the Skin Fair lately and they are so easy to install to your LeLutka Bento head, anyways which of them. You as well can keep them separate and use them vis the HUD that you get with the box as well. They are all cool and they are so different from really photogenic smiles to as well those few tongue out expressions, which I really got addicted to the past few days 😉

The cool makeup is not a super new release but one of my personal faves when it comes to cool and extraordinary ones. The “Tammy” makeup with its unsymmetrical look just was perfect for that cyber punk look 😉

The awesome dress I am wearing for this post comes from [sys], wich was released for the Tres Chic event. The “Ellea” dress is just really cool with the huge laced part t the top and the bottoms that look like upside down jacket lapels on the skirt. together with the “Jassy” boots and gloves as well with lots of lace, it just totally did it for me 😉

To just add one accessory I decided to go with the “Joyce” necklace, that was created by Wicca’s Wardrobe for our collaboration with Enfant Terrible.

The super amazing tattoo comes from White Widow again and it is one of Julie’s newer ones.

For the scenery I used some of the awesome designs of E.V.E Studio. I love to make scenes with her creations as they always add some artsy feelings to all of the pictures. I totally love her surreal environments 🙂

I guess I go and find a place now where I can stick out my tongue to people a little more before I go to bed, as I enjoy this new feature way too  much at the moment :p
