My personal favourites of MVW2013 – Formal Gown of Turkey 2013 by Tres Beau & Chop Zuey

MVW - Miss Turkey Formal Full

Miss Virtual World 2013 – Again BoSL showcased an amazing event on December the 15th 2013, with the finale of the MVW 2013 contest. Many countries were represented by amazing ladies and it was really an exciting event. Designers and models worked together for their 2 final looks. One evening gown and one national costume for each lady. Every year when I saw the MVW finale it was an exciting moment to see the results, that designers and models worked on for so many weeks. Last year I took the challenge to make a full catalogue of all the gowns and costumes. The idea must have inspired some bloggers this year and they started to do that for the MVW 2013 designs. I decided for my own not to do the same again and just would like to showcase my personal favourites. First I thought about to do my personal top 12, but then I figured that I like more than 12 and just thought about doing all the ones that really caught my attention in no particular order

:)

The formal gown of Miss Turkey 2013, Miss Nice Wildrose, was made by Kimmera Madison, owner and designer of Tres Beau. What caught my attention on this gown was the fantastic texture of the bodice and the amazing light transparent looking ruffles or the skirt. The texture of the upper body really shows how much time and eye for the detail Kimmera puts into her creations. You can look as close as you want you will not find any seams, even if it is a real difficult and filigree texture. The ornaments and the basis are tone in tone and paired with the ruffles and the gloves the whole gown has a super elegant look. The shoulders are blank. This fact adds a light sexy touch as well and leaves a lot of room for amazing jewelry.

Talking of the jewelry… The stunning jewelry set was made by Belle Roussel, owner and designer of Chop Zuey. She created a wonderful set that underlines the turkish touch for that gown perfectly. The headpiece and the filigree straight down earrings for me make a lightly oriental look and with the wonderful ring, that completes the set it was the perfect jewelry addition for this amazing creation.

The stunning gown you will now find at the Tres Beau Mainstore and the incredible jewelry set you can get at the Chop Zuey Mainstore 🙂

“The Sin” – Do you dare to be fierce?

Mea Culpa Sin Red First

Tatanka Kaligawa, genius owner and designer of Mea Culpa is back on duty 😉 He is working on many new creations right now and released already some of them in the last few days. I would like to start with the new “The Sin” catsuit today. This catsuit with the amazing latex texture can be a great basic for a cool and fierce styling. The shiny latex texture has a super realistic look with all the lights and shadows and the amazing front part is a highlight for itself as the most latex catsuits only have a simple zipper in the front. Mea Culpa takes the latex catsuit on a new level 🙂 It is available in many different colors at the Mea Culpa Mainstore. As well Tatanka offers a “custom color” creation for the “The Sin” catsuit for a little extra fee. So what ever look you wanna create you can have the matching color of the “The Sin” catsuit, just put a color sample and your needs on a NC and you can have your custom colored “The Sin” catsuit 🙂

For today’s styling … I do not even know what I was doing.. I looked through my inventory and kinda sorted it. For me that means, I wear some parts, if I cannot remember what it was and then I rename the folders before I sort them in, so I can operate my inventory a bit easier 🙂 .

While I was wearing certain stuff,  attaching and detaching I always left some parts on. Suddenly my sweet brother Dahriel IMed me telling me that he created new lashes and sent them to me. I unpacked them to look and attached them to the stuff I still had left on. All of a sudden by caming around I saw my whole look and loved it *giggles*.

So the last folders I looked through must have been mainly Miamai as I am wearing different parts of the new “Unfold” collection. The mesh head-piece is called “Corelia” and with the wonderful ornament on the top it gives the whole look of a cool high fashion style for me. The collar part is connected to the headpiece so you have no trouble wearing both to the same time 🙂 The wonderful “Inferna” mesh gloves with the long sharp nails are as well from Miamai. The mesh combination of skirt, pants and boots is a wonderful possibility to wear all 3 parts to the same time without disturbing each other. The whole ensemble of this 3 is called “Quee” and is available in 2 different colors.

Now back to the lashes from Dahriel, owner and designer of PosESioN. He made the “Liceo” lashes paired with the “Liceo” mask that makes that wonderful spiky head attachment. I liked the combination of the long black spiky swirls and the decorations of the “Corelia” headpiece.

Since I did not wanna add a top to the whole styling, I  searched for a solution to hide my private bits. I did not wanna go with boring nipple tapes so I thought about what I could do. I remembered that Belle Roussel, owner and designer of Chop Zuey, had some wonderful “Nose Diamonds” in her christmas gifts. I quickly reattached them to my chest and made them a bit bigger to cover all that was needed ;).

Last but not least  I would like to get the view on the skin. This skin is the actual groupgift of Silken Moon. Malicia Python released her new skin line and she was so generous to make a special makeup and put it out as a gift in her group. The group joining is 100L$ but if you see what you get and just imagine what you will get in the future it is really worth it. The “SM Eclipse Bisque Happy New Year” skin has a light tone paired with deep red lips and a fantastic eyeliner. The body is so delicious made that it really is tempting to have as much skin shown as you can :p . So run and grab that wonderful Happy New Year gift of Silken Moon before it is gone 😉 .

Silken Moon – Eclipse! Wicca in Makeup Heaven!!!

8268391933_49c4dedd6b_b

Today we come to something very special… Silken Moon released a new, fresh, innovative and extraordinary new skin line with a huge ‘building set’ possibility!!!

In the past we always were running for skins with different makeups for different looks. Nowadays you have the multiple layer option for your avatar that allows you to wear various numbers of tattoo layers on your head. This brought way more possibilities for makeups and uniqueness into SL. But when i go out shopping I still find a lot of complete skins for just one makeup that is painted on the skin itself still, or you have full faces where you maybe wither like the eyes or the lips or maybe even just parts of that whole makeup. Some stores offer eyes and lips separated but still you have just one option of makeup for the eyes or lips… sometimes in different colors but that’s it. But sometimes you even need to customize your look even more with some color highlights or some specials…

I was searching for a new skin by myself not too long ago (post will come soon and I will tell you all about it 😉 ). I was wearing the Silken Moon “Rookie” skin for quite a long time and at some point along with my total make over and my new shape I got more and more the desire for a skin that really shows of a lot of my self and the character that Wicca has. With all the talking I had with Malicia Python, owner and genius designer of Silken Moon, I realized that she was right about to make a total new skin line as well.

Silken Moon - Bisque Casual

She told me about her idea of the ‘building set’ for the new Eclipse skin line she was thinking about for a longer time.

Her idea was to make different basic looks and give them different makeup options that you can wear in many different ways.

To describe the best what was her idea I would like to quote her from her own blog…

Malicia Python:

” I developed a skin system grounded on that insight. Basic skins for different looks instead of ready-made faces, plus the makeup to max out the desired look or create your own. I decided to make makeup the way you actually apply it RL, for example, the skin’s lips working as a lipliner, the lipstick on top and maybe some gloss on top on that. Or you apply an eyeshadow foundation, add the eyeliner and then blacken your lashes. This led to a (still growing) range of makeups perfectly complementing each other and offering thousands of unique combinations.”

Silken Moon - Bisque Urban

So Malicia asked me a lot for what for example models would need, or wich types of stylings I would think of. After weeks of very funny evenings, long nights and nice talks she defined 10 different looks: Canvas, Casual, Formal, Urban, Doll, Boho, Steam, Goth, Fab and Burlesque. All of them have different features. The “Canvas” one is totally blank without eyebrows even so you can really customize your face totally. The “Urban” one for example has a shaved eyebrow on the right side and the “Boho” one for example features all the wonderful purple, lilac and violet tones that are typical for that style, while the doll skin comes with a super cute look and all the pink that I like so much :p .

Each look is available in 4 different skin tones. “Brûlée”(a dark tan), “Bisque” (a fair lively tone and the one I used for this post), “Bousee” (a light tan with a yellow undertone, perfect for warm haircolours) and “Lumee” (a very light complexion)

Each skin comes in 3 unique body options all options are available for every skin as a tattoo layer: Cup A, natural breasts, enhanced cleavage, Abs – all with three degrees of shiny leg, freckled body, a high shine and golden shine version face and nose freckles, dimples.. and so much more!!!

Silken Moon - Bisque Burlesque

Each look has a set of type matching eye makeup and lipsticks. But you can pick the face you like best and add makeup to your own liking, style or mix and match needs even by crossing the different looks. For example if you like a doll face the most but wanna have more than jus the pink color theme you can easily buy another set of makeup and going crazy with all the mix and matches 😉

I remember when Malicia IMed me the first time, after she was ready with the first Eclipse face and all of a sudden I had various folders in my inventory all named “SM Eclipse” – Silken Moon Eclipse… I was like ‘holy hell what is this?!?!?’ and started to look through all the different parts. Then she told me she booked Pam Astonia for the advert and I was thrilled, as as she asked me to be the one on the picture. Then she said “Ok now you just have to make your own look out of all the new skins and makeups” and I nearly fainted. There is over 100 possibilities to do this!!! I started to try and was totally wrapped in trying and mixing and matching… about 3 weeks… ok I am joking but I guess it was about 3 days later, with squared eyes I came up with a look for the picture that you can see on the very top of this post 🙂 Not to mention, how long I was captured in my “SM Eclipse” folder while I was doing the other 4 looks for this post*lol*

But in the end you can see on the 4 looks I did, what different looks and possibilities you have with adding different makeups over each other and changing around with all the lipsticks… And Malicia keeps updating her makeups of the Eclipse line. Right as I was on the burlesque look, another folder with new makeups hit my head… there I found the lovely “goth firewings” in which you can see on the on the picture above at the outsides of my eyes 😉

For more information and updates you always can look at the Silken Moon Blog (http://silkenmoon.wordpress.com/)

But enough of all the words… better go to the Silken Moon Mainstore and see by yourself 😉 (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Napf/64/32/40)

My personal favourites of MVW2013 – National Costume of Finland 2013 by Tres Beau

The wonderful national costume for Miss V Finland 2013, Miss Irina Strazytski, was made by Kimmera Madison, owner and designer of Tres Beau.

What I liked a lot for this creation was the fact, that Kimmera mixed traditional parts with some modern looking but still traditional parts. The outfit comes a ‘ready-to-wear’ with the boots and the headpiece 🙂 The long wool pullover again is amazing textured and the huge fur on the back gives a typical flair for the scandinavian country. To know a bit more about the inspiration behind the “Miss Finland” costume, I would like to quote Irina herself 🙂

Irina Strazytski:

“I come from the land of thousand lakes and midnight sun – Finland. My national outfit is inspired by the finnish mythology and folklore, Kalevala – our national epic – in particular. To me Kalevala represents one of the most significant aspects of our culture and our mentality. It’s been the inspiration of many artists, designers and composers, and it continues to influence the Finnish life even today. I wanted my national costume to reflect the part of my country’s heritage which is the closest to my heart and which I’m the most proud of.”

Lately my wonderful brother Dahriel showed me a store I never heard from before. Since I am always searching for new stores, new designers and something that’s not be seen over and over everywhere, I followed his TP and landed at the +:+WTG+:+ Mainstore. What I saw was just breathtaking. Clothes, jewelry, nails and accessories… it looked like paradise 😉 So great and new ideas and so many different styles. As I was roaming around Dahriel talked to one of the owners, shiro Greenwood. After he introduced us I was very happy as shiro asked me if I would like to blog for +:+WTG+:+ and here we are 😉

The fantastic “Naga Raja” nails are made so detailed and with so much little details, they are just amazing. The nails are made for male and female and available in many different sizes.  The”Naga Raja” eyepatch for me is a super cool accessories with the snake rolled in front of the eye. The earrings with all the little piercings match the nails and the eyepatch perfectly. And now to the best part of this post.. all of this wonderful items are group gifts for january at the +:+WTG+:+ Mainstore! So why wait and not take the limo right a way? 😉

My personal favourites of MVW2013 – National Costume of Puerto Rico 2013 by EMO-tions

MVW - Miss Puerto Rico national full

Miss Virtual World 2013 – Again BoSL showcased an amazing event on December the 15th 2013, with the finale of the MVW 2013 contest. First I thought about to do my personal top 12, but then I figured that I like more than 12 and just thought about doing all the ones that really caught my attention in no particular order :)

This year at the MVW finale some of the girls dared to be a little different, with bringing historical female fighter’s and strong women’s characters on the MVW stage. On eof them was Miss V Puerto Rico 2103, Miss Hezabel Blackheart. Her national costume was created by Mirja Mills, owner and designer of EMO-tions. Hezabel could not have made a better choice than asking Mirja for her national costume. EMO-tions always stood for great, quality RP clothing and many fighters, vampires and lovers of the special outfits went to Mirja‘s store if they needed special and extraordinary clothing or hair. So the “Anacaona” outfit and the matching hair, as well made by EMO-tions, made an extraordinary and strong look on the MVW 2013 finale stage. Hezabel and Mirja did a great research on the country she represented and as she was talking about her inspiration my ears were all hers 🙂

Hezabel Blackheart:

“My Costume is inspired by a great Taíno chief named: Anacaona. Anacaona became chief after her brother’s death. Her husband Caonabo, was captured and shipped to Spain, dying in a shipwreck during the journey. The Taínos, being ill-treated by the conquerors, revolted. During a feast organized by eighty-four regional chieftains to honor Anacaona, who was friendly to the Spaniards, the Spanish Governor Nicolás de Ovando ordered the meeting house to be set on fire. He arrested Anacaona and her Taíno noblemen — all of whom, being accused of conspiracy, were executed. While the others were shot, Anacaona was executed by hanging. She was twenty-nine years old. The Taíno tribes were all one and the same tribe all over many Caribbean islands. From the island, then and now,..I bring you the gift of the Coqui.. a native small frog that is exclusive to the wildlife of the island.”

The beautiful costume for Miss V USA 2013, Miss Imani Enzo, was made by Mila Tatham, owner and designer of SoliDeaFoliEs. For this special costume I guess the picture says more than words 😉 The Statue of Liberty for most of the people is the landmark of the USA. Mila Tatham made this landmark look very sexy and fashionable. The torch is for sure part of the outfit and you can choose if you use the one with the animation in it, like I did for the picture or if you use it without animation and play your own ones 🙂

Imani Enzo:

“My gown is inspired by the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty is perhaps one of the most iconic symbols of American Culture. I chose her because she looks like a goddess, stands for freedom, and demonstrates the resilience of our great nation. My heartfelt thanks goes to Mila Tatham and Belle Roussel, the amazing designers who brought to SLife my vision for a modern take on Lady Liberty’s timeless beauty, strength, and elegance.

My personal favourites of MVW2013 – National Costume of Miss Netherlands 2013 by GizzA

MVW - Miss Netherlands Full

Miss Virtual World 2013 – Again BoSL showcased an amazing event on December the 15th 2013, with the finale of the MVW 2013 contest. The next national costume I would love to show you is made by GizzA for the Miss V Netherlands 2013, Miss Linnda Scofield. I have to admit as I saw this outfit during the MVW 2013 finals, I had to look 3 times as I could not believe what I saw… The “Linnda’s Dutch Breeze” is more a piece of art than an outfit for me. Linnda was pulling a whole meadow behind her with some super cute windmills on it. The dress itself has great color changed from the top to the bottom. It starts with a red chest part. Its prims reminded me of the typical tulips that we all know for the Netherlands. It turns green like the down part of a tulip and then the great meadow starts that finished in a wonderful brown tone. For me it really is a wonderful design that perfectly represents the Netherlands and a lot of its typical symbols.

Linnda Scofield:

“For my national gown I used the Dutch landscape as my inspiration. The Dutch countryside is known for its meadows, windmills and flowers like tulips. Giz has made a great combination of the dutch properties and created an amazing and wonderful gown.”

My personal favourites of MVW2013 – National Costume of Miss Portugal 2013 by Tres Beau

First I thought about to do my personal top 12, but then I figured that I like more than 12 and just thought about doing all the ones that really caught my attention in no particular order 🙂

The national costume of Miss V Portugal 2013, Miss Jade Spectre, made me look up. Between all the gowns and costumes I saw one of a sudden pants and boots… That I had to see closer and I tried to zoom on Jade without crashing during the MVW 2013 finale. The pants made a light masculine, strong look. Paired with the super feminine ruffles and the detailed textures of Kimmera Madison, owner and designer of Tres Beau, just made a perfect outfit that for me and a great representation of portuguese tradition and history. For a better information about that, I would like to quote Jade herself with her little text for her national costume.

Jade Spectre:

“I wanted to pay tribute to the Cavaleiros – the remarkable women bullfighters who represent the rich history and long-standing traditions of the Portuguese culture. My respect for these women goes really deep and is unique to the Portuguese culture, so I decided I wanted to also bring that to the Miss Virtual World Pageant, but with a totally different approach to the style and design. Still specific to the theme, but with a more couture flair.

These brave women perform on horseback in rich 18th century, colorful and extravagant designs. The Portuguese tradition of bull fighting is more compassionate and more of a show of tradition than other forms of bullfighting. Other than the Cavaleiros riding on horseback, they nor do the Matadors of Portugal kill the bull during the ceremony, nor do they harm it in any way.

The costume is highly detailed with rich gold accents, trim, brocade, and embroidery. The undershirt, pants, cuffs and back of the jacket are very detailed in gold embellishment. The colors of the Portuguese flag – red, green and gold are represented, but in different shades to make the costume more authentic and comparable to the actual costumes of the Cavaleiros. Therefore we used the custom green of the Portuguese Flag, mixed with a deep burgundy transition to represent the red of the flag. The gorgeous ruffle collar and skirt along with the skirt attachment give a touch of modern couture to the design. The authentic hat, patterned trousers, broad shoulders, and arm cuffs are very important to the look of the costume reflect the strength of those women and replicates details of their true costumes. I chose this National Costume to honor the women of Portugal in modern and present day society, and their place in Portuguese culture and history.”
