Krampus 2022

Originally made for Christmas 2022 for the Attention Magazine, this is my dark vision of Christmas. In south Germany we have the tradition of the Krampus.

Krampus, in central European popular legend, a half-goat, half-demon monster that punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime.

He is the devilish companion of St. Nicholas. Krampus is believed to have originated in Germany, and his name derives from the German word Krampen, which means “claw.”

Krampus was thought to have been part of pagan rituals for the winter solstice. According to legend, he is the son of Hel, the Norse god of the underworld. With the spread of Christianity, Krampus became associated with Christmas—despite efforts by the Catholic church to ban him. The creature and St. Nicholas are said to arrive on the evening of December 5 (Krampusnacht; “Krampus Night”). While St. Nicholas rewards nice children by leaving presents, Krampus beats those who are naughty with branches and sticks. In some cases, he is said to eat them or take them to hell. On December 6, St. Nicholas Day, children awaken to find their gifts or nurse their injuries.

Christmas – Dark Edition – Krampus

For the December Issue of the Eclipse Magazine, I certainly wanted to do something Christmas related. But if you know me, I can not be something sweet and shiny, it had to be something with a dark twist. So the “Krampus” tradition came to my mind.

To explain “Krampus” I would like to quote Wikipedia to make sure I get nothing wrong with translating my German version *winks*

“The Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure in Central and Eastern Alpine folklore who, during the Christmas season, scares children who have misbehaved. Assisting Saint Nicholas, the pair visit children on the night of the 5th December, with Saint Nicholas rewarding the well-behaved children with modest gifts such as oranges, dried fruit, walnuts and chocolate, whilst the badly behaved ones only receive punishment from Krampus with birch rods.
The origin of the figure is unclear; some folklorists and anthropologists have postulated it as having pre-Christian origins. In traditional parades and in such events as the Krampuslauf (English: Krampus run), young men participate dressed as Krampus and attempt to scare the audience with their antics. Such events occur annually in most Alpine towns. Krampus is featured on holiday greeting cards called Krampuskarten.
Since 1984, the character has become better known globally, having been portrayed in Hollywood horror films. Almost unknown before this time, Krampus has begun to become part of American popular culture.”

Who says that freaks do not like Christmas… maybe no the typical, ribbon, red/green/white/gold one with candy sticks all over… but still.. Christmas :p What brought me to that idea for this post was the “Cozy Winter Collection”, which DRD released at FaMESHed and an older group gift – as well made by DRD – the awesome “DIY Christmas Tree” . I found it hilarious, when I saw that blank tree, a huge black sack with all the fir needles in it and three bottles of glue beside it – I simply love Jaimy’s sense of humor. With some parts of the “The Last Christmas Shop” as decoration and some more past group gifts, I tried to decorate my alternative Christmas room 🙂

Certainly I had to have the matching look to my scenery and I could not pass the cool glasses with that scary eyes by Madame Noir… such a cool accessory, that really creates a different vibe *grins* With my love for heavy boots I as well could not leave the “Ravage Boots” on the shelf at L’Emporio&PL. They are so hell detailed! If you take a closer look you can see every stud, every lace, and the cute hole in the sole – made me think of my New Rocks in real love and I love them to death 🙂 What as well caught my eyes were the awesome “Damned Claws” from L’Emporio&PL. They are made for hand and feet, but since the shoes cover my feet this time, I am wearing only the nail set. When I put on the HUD I was really positively surprised… beside different colors you as well can hide every single claw separate.

I have a few more scary Christmas ideas in mind and I am looking forward how they will turn out 😉 For now… Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas is near so it’s time to count down! We have 11 gifts to mark each day closer to Christmas!

We have created our very own Advent Calendar to celebrate the approach of Christmas! We have 11 gifts just for you. Each day will be a surprise gift. Come visit the store each day and just like a real Advent Calendar, open a door to reveal your gift! All of our Advent gifts are made for Maitreya, and some include versions for Slink and Belleza. When the image of the gift is revealed the image will indicate which bodies the item will work with in the lower left corner. Each gift comes as they are seen in their photos and without color changing HUDS. On the day of the gift the item is free to group members and L$50 to non-members.

On the “OMG I MISSED A DAY!” calendar, items for missed days are available for L$50 to group members and L$99 for non-members.

Last Day before Christmas…

Again we only have one day left for Christmas. In Germany we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, in my family usually in the afternoon or evening. It never was a huge party we we only have the closest family around. This year it will be my mom, my brother and his girl friend, Red and myself.

Usually the last day before Christmas was very hectic, as I never made it to have all Christmas presents together in time 😉 This year I am all set and done \o/

So all I have left is preparing the apartment and do some Christmas tree decorating. It is a great feeling if you have everything ready and just can relax and enjoy the pre-Christmas feeling 😉

You can make your self a nice cocoa or – what I like even more – a nice ‘Glühwein’. It was really a wonderful day today and that brought me on today’s pictures and post.

First I only wanted to do a shoe post about the amazing “Kendall” ankle boots from [Gos]. The Kendall boot is a peep-toe leather biker ankle boot. Accented by double buckles and exposed zipper detail, Kendall is sure to add flair.

Based on the shoes I wanted to do a winter, cozy look and I just took the awesome “Lila Sweater” from .:Avanti:. and an older gacha hair, that I never used as I never found the right style for it. To not have bare legs with my denim shorts, I wanted some tights and remembered the cool socks/tights combination I got a few weeks ago, which even had a toe-less option – perfect for the peep-toe boots!

While I was playing with poses and some decorations… my sweet little niece India showed up and we all know how kids can be… curious especially one day before Christmas. She sat down with her little Rudolph cuddly toy and wanted some hot chocolate. She had a lot to tell from Kindergarten and about Christmas and certainly she asked me all those questions about Santa. she did not forget to mention that she hopes Santa got her wish-list in time this year and when I would think that he will come. I told her that we still need to get the cookies out the fridge later and make a little plate for Santa with them. I should not have mentioned the cookies I guess since India is the biggest cookie monster I ever met :p I had a hard time to tell her we cannot eat the cookies for Santa and that she better keeps her hands off them and that they are only belong to Santa and how important it would be to give them to him.

Finally I made it, to get her into her bed and after a little bedtime story she closed her eyes and fell asleep with a smile on her face. I closed the book and turned the lights off before I left the room and went back down to continue decorating and drinking the last few sips of my ‘Glühwein’ before I got sleepy myself and went to bed.

Dark Style Christmas

Finally I can post again!

After having my website hacked for nearly a month, we were able to solve the problem. I never would have thought, that the jetpack plugin from wordpress would be an open entrance for bot and hacker attacks… Everytime when I thought we fixed it, I wanted to log in the next day and same cryptic dashoard grinned at me and my own website was telling me I would want to cheat, when I tried to post something as I would not have the permissions to do so.

Lesson learned, jetpack plugin deleted!

Thank you to all of you, who had  patience with me for not being able to post something.

So I am actually a little behind on things, that I wanted to post over all that time and I would like to start the wrap up with one of the styles I made during the Dark Style Fair. I just re-did the pictures and added some newer things to it to make it some more ‘festive’ loooking for the upcoming season 😉

I am not too much of a Christmas fan in general… I do like snow, I like red and black, but all the Jingle Bells music and always when I hear the “All I want for Christmas is You” yelping on the radio I just wanna throw up :p

I have my own Christmas feelings and likings and so I wanted to make a look with some twist on it for my own personal mix of dark style and Christmas :p

I used a lot of different parts to mix and match my todays look. The jacket I found at COCO, the top is from Scandalize, the corset with the cool warp around and ribbon I found at Paperdoll’s, while the pants are a part of the amazing “Y6” collection from [sYs].

I do love mix and match a lot, even if it became significantly harder, since mesh is on the grid as layering different designers can be a real hard challenge if the clothing is not meant to go with each other.

The “Leisha” choker from Salt & Pepper ran right in to my heart when I saw it :p I love the look of the 2 skeleton hands, that wrap their bony fingers around your neck 😉 While I went through my headpiece & hats folder I came across the “Dia De Los Muertos Hat” from .AiShA. with the same cool grabby bone fingers holding the top of the hat!

If I would wash off the blood from my top and take off the eye patch, I really could see me going out on a christmas party *snickers*

What I really had to do for this post, is a close up for the shoes… I LOVE the eye for details, that UTOPIA puts on their designs. You can see every seam, every fold and the typical used spots that you get with leather shoes usually. I just could sit and stare at the shoes for hours and discover all their love to the realistic scale and details. Since the other pics did not show even a hint of the shoes I thought they deserve a close view 😉

Merry Christmas with Blacklace & Glamistry

I never did any Christmas posts with lingerie I guess so I thought, this year I finally could have one :p

Maybe it was not that, but the fact that I am stuck at home with pneumonia till christmas and all of a sudden my day is so long, that I can play around with stylings more than I ever expected right before Christmas 😉

Usually the days before Christmas are very hectic in RL. In school we need to finish the last Christmas presents for the parents, music students want to have a Christmas concert or I need to run for some last-minute presents… that all was wiped out all of a sudden, when I got told “You will stay at home on the couch, no cold air, no huge activities” by the doctor.

I never had pneumonia before and I have to admit it sucks.. all that weird coughing and fever that makes me feel dizzy and tipsy… horrible. I love my work and I enjoy my life! So being stuck on the couch is probably the most ugly thing I can imagine.

I was called a bad patient before, for being not patient enough and just laying down until I am better.. but hey… life is too short for just laying down and doing nothing!

When I saw the amazing group gift with the cute santa hat at Argrace, I did know, I wanna do a sexy Holidays post 😉

I put on the super sexy “Vivian Candy Cane” lingerie from Blacklace, which just was released for Christmas 😉 I always admired the amazing details and filigree textures of Blacklace lingerie and with that sweet ensemble Blacklace reinvented one of their amazing lingerie sets. The awesome shoes are made by Glamistry and with the huge roses on the top of the peep toes it matched perfect in cuteness to the hair and the lingerie 😉

To have some gold added to the holy days.. I used the “Faith” jewelry from EMO-tions, that reminded me of the little Christmas tree balls my grandma always had on her Christmas tree.

The furniture and deco I used for the set I mostly found in my “MadPea Christmas Calendar 2016”. That calendar was so much fun with all the quality gifties in it… I just can recommend it for all for the next year if they do it again 😉

A Night after Christmas with Asia Rae and E.V.E Studio

Phew Christmas is over and I have my ‘normal life’ back 😉

That gives me time, to blog about the newest releases of Asia Rae, E.V.E Studio and EMO-tions.

The amazing “Magissa Latex Dress” is one of the latest news by Asia Rae. The dress is a fashion dream with the huge cape looking shoulder part, that goes down until the elbows and the amazing combination of a knitted texture for the sleeves in contrast to the shiny latex looking fabric of the dress itself.Asia Rae 02

The super cool hair comes from EMO-tions for the Shiny Shabby Event. It is called “Jezebel” The huge hair style with the extraordinary shape comes with several appliers for mesh heads for the hair base and as well the amazing head band is part of the whole look.

Now I would like to drag your view no the amazing horns. They were made by Noke Yuitza for E.V.E Studio. The awesome horns are part of her Moon Collection, inspired by the winter nature. As always for E.V.E Studio the horns are 100% original mesh and materials enabled. You can choose between different colors for the horns to make them fit your desires 🙂

Sceneries are always important for pictures and for today I chose the amazing “Christmas Decoration Set” from 22769 to make my sweet and cozy background.

And now I will put back all my Christmas stuff into boxes and put it back in the attic of my sweet little Hobbit House until next year 😉

Winter Dreams

Dreaming of a white Christmas… yes .. exactly that was what I was doing for the past days. I still did hope that at least a few snowflakes would show up for Christmas but… sadly not even a single one…

So I had to play with snow for the pictures 😉

First I wanted to dress up all in white, sometimes I like it when I can blend myself into the scenery or background as to me that usually makes it most dreamy and interesting.

I started with the “New Age” pants in white, I always liked those pants and the special shape of them. Then I added the “Orion” collar from [sys]. The collar covers the chest barley and if you move it shows more than I like 😉 So I had to search for something that I could use as a base to not distract too much but as well cover my body at least a little bit. I used the layer of the “Mummy Bride” of Ezura Xue. Just a few bandages around my chest and waist 😉

The shoes are from Wicca’s Wardrobe. The “Shenna” heels in white of the ‘Chic Edition’ pack. I already had a funky touch so I went for the amazing horns from Death Row Designs. The cool knee patches are part of an [sys] outfit called “Alcane”

Now I had to find a place with snow and after trying a lot of different sims which are just Christmas themed I found this wonderful little place. A wonderful landscape with a natural and realistic looking ambience. Sadly I forgot to LM the place and after hopping around so much I forgot how it was called *grumbles* But I will try to find it again and update the post then 😉
